Corner update: Just figured I'd share a thought I had while limping my way to the shop this morning with y'all -

Are people really free? I think not and here's why: I was walking down the street and saw a guy about my height walking towards me. The street was fairly crowded with it being a large town centre and all so there was lots of people around. I found myself thinking as this guy approached, "what would happen if I just dropped him right now?" Now this wasn't for any reason, there was no violent feelings are aggression aimed at the person. I was simply curious as to how the crowd would react to it. Now I didn't do it even though every part of me wanted to, just to see the chaos of people looking in disbelief. I think the reason I didn't is because we have it drilled into us a birth just to "go with the crowd" or " flow of things" and by me doing that I would have been going against that crowd and interrupting that flow.

It's much in the same way that Iron in his impulses thread talks about having urges to do things. I think we all have those urges and that they are just from some suppressed primal part of our human nature. The reason we don't act on them (for the most part anyway) I think is because of how much it is drilled into us that these things are wrong to do.
