Backstory
Folki grew up near Windhelm and was taught from a young age how to fight with a blade. Be it a two handed weapon that could cause massive damage or a single handed weapon that could hit multiple times. (Insert name) learnt how to become skilled in both kinds of weapons.

With Folki's parents being followers of Talos and the other Divines. Folki saw it as a need to follow the Divines just as they had given his parent's strength in times of need they would also give him strength when he needed it.

When Folki was born he was born a few years before the Great War. When the war was told to the people of Skyrim and Jarl Ulfric's father the Bear of Eastmarch had called for some men and women to create a militia or for people to join the Legion to help defend Skyrim and the Empire from these Thalmor.

Folki's parents went off to fight in the Great War. Folki was left to be cared by the Orphanage in Riften for a short amount of time. The place was mainly filled with troops being sent down to the Empire to help defend.

Folki didn't do much while in Riften but did see it was filled with thieves. It was so bad even the children were sometimes stolen from. Even some of these people were Nords in a time of war yet they were taking what they could when they could.

Even when the Guards did catch the criminals they gave a bit of gold and the Guards turned away and let the criminals continue. Folki knew it would continue until one day someone would put them down.

Before Folki knew it the Great War was over and Skyrim's spirit was crushed when the Empire was defeated, the Treaty removing Talos as a God the Forsworn had taken over Markarth. Even though Folki was young he still knew Skyrim was in need of help.

Once Folki father returned from the war his mother died while fighting the Elves and fighting for the freedom of Man just like Ysgramor so long ago. This made Folki be even more resentful of Elves. This is when Folki's father knew it would be needed for Folki to know how to fight for when the Elves came to Skyrim.

No one really spoke about it but everyone knew they would. Talos shared the same homeland as the original Humans who came from Atmora, where he spent his youth in Skyrim making it his homeland and where he first started to forge the Third and current Empire. Every Nord held Talos as one of the Divines in his rightful place. Trying to make a Nord stop worshipping Talos would to be asking him to throw away his honour and dignity.

Years soon passed. Ulfric took back Markarth for the right to worship Talos freely. Ulfric was given his right to free worship until. Once the Legion came to reclaim the city for the Empire only to be denied access. Talos wanted them to also give Ulfric and all other Nords free worship of Talos.

The Legion finally allowed Ulfric to have free worship only to be betrayed shortly after they gave Ulfric free worship of Talos. This has shown the Empire is nothing but liars and traitors who have forgotten their own roots and who their Gods are.

Ulfric proved the Empire has become weak and puppets of the Thalmor when Ulfric challenged the High King Torygg to an honourable duel in which Ulfric emerged the victorious with the power the Thu'um.

Torygg still is honoured as the High King but he was the Empire's puppet and being used by them to keep a hold on Skyrim. He should still be honoured as any other Nord who dies in honourable combat.

Shortly after making his way out of his way out of Solitude after showing the Empire was weak they could only beat Ulfric if they ambushed him and his men.

This is where I Folki comes in. I was trying to pass across the Skyrim border after spending time in the Jerall Mountains on the border of Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Managed to make it across just to find a bunch of Legion bastards waiting for me.

Turns out they were there for Ulfric and his Stormcloaks. Still I got put in with them of to Helgen to be executed. I had spent some time away so there was little to no record of me being in Skyrim.

Thought they might have let me go for that but no the Imperial Legion need to kill us all to be sure the Stormcloaks are killed. Looks like this is the end for me. Though I would have died in battle against the Thalmor so I guess it would come at the hands of the Empire. Sovngarde I will be there soon.

Just a little notice. This will be the thread which will be having all the story pieces put in as well it is a story and having it in the wrong area would annoy me.... =)

You've clearly done your research on the lore, quite immpressive.

I personally don't like the story telling style you've chosen, but that's just me not liking 1st person perspectives.

Keep it up, I look forward to the next chapter ;)

Thank you. I did look into it a little bit just because it would make a better backstory but I could still change it around.

I could do a third person if needed =)

I did choose a 1st person just because it would be a kind of diary of the character kept that would explain their day to day life while being Dragonborn. I wouldn't do only one day of Skyrim a day though. Would require learning travel times, fast travel times, how long your character fell unconscious for and if you go to Sovrengarde and similar places you have very little concept of time....

So it would be today Dx did this on the Xbox... =P

Day One

Well that was a strange event. There I was right on the headsmen's block ready to go to Sovngarde then out of no where comes this big black dragon. Just like those stories my father used to tell when I was younger.

Still that thing didn't stop. I haven't seen Helgen since escaping but there was some very large smoke columns flying into the sky. Might go back soon and check on things but after leaving with that Ralof guy who told me to go to Riverwood. While on my way to Riverwood I made my way to a mine called Embershard Mine.

Nice place. Few bandits were hiding out there. Made the mistake of attacking a honourable Nordic Warrior. My iron axe ripped them open. They will not be harming any more of the innocents of Skyrim.

Made it to the little town a bit north of Helgen. It is the small town of Riverwood. Few people there. Helped make an Elf unhappy as soon as I entered there. Turns out there was a love triangle. An Elf was involved. Lets just say he isn't going to be involved in that relationship any more.....

Also met Ralof there. He said I should join the Stormcloaks and I think I should attempt to get back home to Windhelm soon. Been a long time since I have been there. Love the chill in the area at Windhelm. Makes one really appreciate the warmth of the fire and mead in your belly.

Also there is something at Bleak Fall Barrow. Apparently some damned bandits were also holding up there. I am going up there after a local merchant told me about it. There is also a golden claw that if I retrive he will pay me a large sum for it. More than I need to go up there. Might be some good loot there to take!

After doing that I should probably go to Whiterun and warn the Jarl about the possibility of a dragon attack on Riverwood. Wait... Shouldn't that be my main priority....
Well there I best be quick in recovering the object...

Best not be anything crazy in this ruin. There is always is though...

As a female character (named Katia if any of you get that reference from Prequel) In that love triangle quest I didn't help either of them, instead I married Camilla and left those two blokes with dumb looks on their faces from realising that they were fighting over a lesbian :P

Well they cannot be that perceptive then.... Perhaps that is why they were fighting over her.... They wanted to get another woman for a threesome.

But yes JC that did give me quite the laugh =P

Is always great when you find another way to do a quest. =D

Day Two

Well Bleak Falls Barrow was a nice place for a visit. As soon as I entered guess what there was. More Bandits. I have no idea where they keep coming from but if they keep coming I'll keep killing them.

That was a strange Nordic Ruin though. While searching for the Golden Claw I made it down to a chamber or hall. It is hard to tell. Most of the ruin was already broken and it didn't help there was webs everywhere.

As I said before something crazy would be down there. A giant Frostbite Spider was down their after it trapped the thief who stole the Golden Claw. Idiot Dark Elf thought he could run after I freed him. That is a mistake I think he regrets!

While chasing him down into the ruin I did find Draugr. Pitiful creatures. Trapped in their rotting shells for falling to Dragon worship. Or so that is how the stories go. The dragon return to Skyrim was only a story but that turned out to be true. So perhaps this one is also true.

Still they were quite formidable even though they had become decayed. Cut threw them but my armour saved me quite a few times. Think I might need a new axe. This one isn't cutting them down fast enough.

The Claw did hold more than just value of gold. While going down the ruin a bit more I found a hall or corridor which had ancient Nordic stories on. I paid them little attention as most had as a lot of the ruin had become decayed and hard to read.

The secret on how to open the final Nordic area of the ruin was on the Claw there were marking and the door had the same three symbols. All I had to do was match them. Child's play.

It went Bear, Dragon and Owl. Shoved the Claw in. Turned it and the door opens nice and easy. A few more Draugr while exploring but nothing I couldn't handle.

Still this wasn't the craziest thing. When I made it to the final chamber there was this big wall. I couldn't properly understand it but some kind of force came to me when I approached it. No idea what it was but after the wall stopped flowing power into me a sarcophagus flung open.

You could tell from the moment it appeared this was going to be a stronger Draugr. One to defend the power or something like that. Well it was powerful. Didn't even notice really when I hit it.

I should have been attacking him with a Wooden Sword for all my Iron Axe was doing. Eventually from hitting him in the face with my Banded Iron Shield and enough hits from my Iron Axe he fell.

Took a lot of time and I gained a great amount of knowledge and experience for the exploring of this ruin. I think I am quite good at ruin searching.

Still have no idea of what that power that flowed into was though. Really should be returning the claw back to Riverwood now and get my payment.

The final area where you learn Unrelenting Force word one. I found only one chest after killing the Draugr overlord. Probably more.

I do need to write up another one... Just killed the first Dragon and recovered a sword for a redguard in Whiterun.

Should type it up soon.

For the skills Folki is best with is One Handed, Block, Light Armour, Sneak and restoration. Light armour I have never gone with and it seemed like something fun to use. =)

Not bad my friend ... I enjoy a good tale betwixt campaigns and thou doth spin a fine yarn indeed. Lord Ariok has chosen well his weaver of tales, prey continue for even as you claim they are easy to write, from such writings the seeds of greater sagas emerge within the mind of the writer and as my summoner .... er mother once said unto me "practice makes perfect." :)

Well this is effortless. Only thing I see is in a day of Skyrim I can pump out 12+ hours of Skyrim. That written so far is about 1-3hours I think. I know I was really slow in the beginning =P

My other character has 140+ hours pumped into them. I think would be quite a long story. I don't think I can remember all I did with them but still I went to everywhere in the Dragonborn DLC so that might have taken up some of my time.... =P

I am thinking of blasting through wither Civil War with Stormcloaks or blasting through the main storyline. Don't know which one to do first though. I might do the main because I can then hold the agreement to get Whiterun to let me use Dragonsreach to hold a dragon and allow Ulfric to take other areas without fight. EG Markarth can be taken without a fight.

Thank you for the compliments as well =D

In the final chamber besides the one next to the sarcoffacuss(damn dyslexia) there's one behind the wall of power and another to the left of it next to the waterfall. I've played this game so much I know where everything is... But not how to spell sarcofacuss... :(

Meh.. I don't need extra bits.... I am thinking of getting smithing perks as I want a better weapon but those perks could be better used in other areas EG do more damaged with axes, more amour from light armour, block more and all the other fun stuff.

Day Three

Well made it back to Riverwood completely fine. Returned the Golden Claw and was given a nice 400 gold for it. If only there was more for me to do in Riverwood. Most people's problems have been fixed.

Made it to Whiterun perfectly fine as well. No bandits except for a few wolves. No real danger there. I did see a Stormcloak prisoner being escorted by three Legionaries.

Any true son of Skyrim wouldn't allow them to pass. So I did what any true Nord would do. I charged straight up. I hacked the first one down to the ground the other two now alerted to my intentions drew their bows. Like it would do something against a wall of iron...

Slowly I made my way to the first and smashed his face in with my shield. The last one stood there. With his bow in hand. He fired once more into my shield. One of the places my shield wasn't covering. My leg. Left to be precise. Was hit by an arrow. I think the fur boots took most of the damage but I still was weakened by it.

Even slower than before I made my way to last one. A shield bash hit him but he recovered from it and upholstered his sword. A steel sword shined as it was pulled out. I still had my axe in hand. A melee consumed us both. Sparks flew from our weapons as they clashed.

I knew my weapon would break from his superior weapon. I reacted quickly. I slid my leg round his and made him fall to the ground. Death came for him quickly after that.

I freed the Stormcloak and went on my way. But a Whiterun Guard saw me attack the first. Didn't see me kill them so I was charged with assault not murder. Still I was escorted into Whiterun.

Once I paid my bounty I went straight to the keep. Dragonsreach. Once there I met with the Jarl. Jarl Balgruuf can't remember how long he has been in charge of Whiterun but I think he has been in charge since before I was born so I guess he knows what he is doing.

When meeting with him I told him about the whole Riverwood in need of help from a possible dragon attack. He has now sent off a detachment of guards to defend Riverwood from the dragon. Doubt they would do much.

There was a large presence of the Legion at Helgen and they didn't even scratch that dragon. Still as long as Riverwood is more secure now the better.

Jarl Balgruuf also had another task for me. This involved his court's wizard. I am not opposed to the whole magic part of combat. Less honourable but the healing has help save more Nordic lives than I ever could.

Still Farengar the wizard of the court seems like a nice enough Nord. Needed help on recovering an object. A dragonstone of possible dragon burial sites. You know all that legend stuff that is starting to become true now.

Still this dragonstone was apparently in Bleak Falls Barrow and I had already taken it from Bleak Falls Barrow when getting the Golden Claw back. So just did that really quickly for him and was rewarded with some armour. Was just some leather armour enchanted to increase light armour's performance in battle but I still prefer my leather armour I personally reinforced.

Good thing I did make that real quick because as soon as I did a guard from the western watchtower ran in shouting about a dragon attacking the watchtower.

I and a few other guards were sent to go deal with the dragon. I was sent because I had experience with a dragon before. You know when I was running for my life as it tried to eat me. That gives me more experience than anyone....

Still that was a a big dragon. Still surprised I managed to put it down. The iron axe really needs to be replaced. Took forever to cut threw the dragon's scales. Once I did that thing didn't last.

When it did fall it seemed to be shedding its scales and everything else when I went to inspect its dead body. I did hear it shout "Dovahkiin" or something like that when I delivered the killing blow.

Only time I ever heard of that was again from the legendary tales my father told me about. Still the same thing happened like in Bleak Falls Barrow where the force went into me and made me feel more powerful but now I could speak a word in a language similar or possibly dragon.

"Fus" was the word I could say. When I said "Fus" it pushed things away in front of me. The suriviving guards said that I was Dovahkin. Like Tiber Septim.

This does change things now doesn't it.

Still I had to inform the Jarl of what had happened. I told him the dragon was killed and that I absorbed some kind of power from it. He told me that the Greybeards were summoning me.

Well I have heard about the Greybeards but they never take interest in those who live below their mountain. I should go and see them as soon as I can. Time to go met with the Greybeards and see that they have to say about me being Dovahkiin.

I think I have just become a very important person in this age....
