1d100 rolled for a total of: 65 (65)
The arrow sinks into the bears head. Shaking the bear tries one more desperate attempt to fight off it's attackers but with Lord Algen's spear in it's side it only serves to cause it'self more damage. Breathing heavily it falls to the ground. Lorundil can see it's eyes glaze over as the last of it's breath escapes it.

"Thanks Lord Algen. Shall we deal with the Goblins now?" Asked Lorundil breathing heavy from the dodging he just had to do.

They turn to the goblins but they are no where in sight. The camp has been desserted. "Humph," Lord Algen snorts, "looks like they have fled now we have killed their guard dog. But won't hurt scouting around to make sure." He looks at the bite Lorundil sustained. "First lets dress those wounds."

"Stings a bit but the wound doesn't seem that bad. Is it worse than it looks?" Asks Lorundil.

"Right you are then." Algen replies. They both follow the tracks make by the goblins. There were in a hurry and make no effort to conceal there escape. After about an hour it became clear that they had fled the forest. Lord Aglen turned to Lorundil, "Well, it looks like not only have we solved the bear problem but uncovered a goblin menace and sorted that too!" he laughed. "Come let us go back to the village. We should have time befor it's gets dark. Tomorrow I can organise some men to come help with the clear up. What to you say? fancy a warm bed and some wine tonight?"

The both return to the village, as they approach the manor Sir Harold and some of the house staff come running.

"Father! Father! are you ok you look like hell. You were supposed to look after him?" his anger leveled at Lorundil.

Lord Aglen stops him with araise of his hand, "I will explain all later over wine. For now send some men to the clearing. Goblins of the Wyldbiter tribe were attempting to move in. The bear their pet. Now my prize."

He motions Lorundil to follow him.

That night they sat in the great hall by the fire.
"My father has told me your tale Lorundil and I am truly greatful."
He hands over to you a scroll with a wax seal showing the Algen family crest.
"As promised," he continues, "This writ entitles you to hunting rights within and around our forest. Also it awards you land equal to 5 acres should you wish to build a homestead here."

Lord Algen chuckles, "And if you wish to get as far from here as you can the writ it worth around 3000 gold. Should be more than enough to start yourself a good life somewhere. I'm done with the hunt now, I'm getting to old and slow now."

"Thank Lord Algen and Sir Harold. I will hopefully build a home here and defend this land from courruption and chaos the forces of destruction would bring."

"Thank Lord Algen for the generous reward. If you ever need another hunter just ask." Said Lorundil raising a glass of wine to Lord Algen.

They salute the toast in recognition of your thanks.

Sir Harold: "Well the woods is teaming with wildlife I'm a sure a good hunter such as yourself will be able to make good money off the skins."

Lord Algen: "So Lorundil, have you any ideas what you will do next? If it's a homestead you wish built I'm sure our steward can help you make arraingments."

"While going through the Forest with Lord Algen I did see quite a few spot in which I could earn a bit of coin. Yes Lord Algen, may I speak with your steward?" Smiled Lorundil and then drinking the glass of wine.

"Fine then," Lord Algen concurs, "Then on the morrow I shall have the steward come and sort the arraingments and you shall be our guest till your homestead is ready."

"Father, I have had a room made ready."

"Good then, for now," Lord Algen stands, "I shall away to the luxury of a warm bed. If you will excuse me."

"Thank you Lord Algen. Good Evening to you. I guess I should also be retiring. Would be rude to stay after the host has left." Spoke Lorundil as he stood up waiting to be shown to his quarters.

"It was nothing Sir Harold. Thank you for the room." Lorundil bowed and entered the room making himself comfortable.

Lorundil finally having a safe place to sleep that wasn't under threat from wildlife or Greenskins decided to make the most of it and went to sleep.

Over the course of the next few days the steward helped to organise the construction of the homested. Lord Algen insisted in funding the basic build the rest would be down to Lorundil.

Lorundil awoke in his new homestead.

Lorudil still had little gold so he had decided to go out into the forest to find some wildlife to hunt to sell their pelts for some gold.

Lorundil picked up his bow and short sword and went for a quick trip into the forest.
