"I am fine but am quite the idiot for not seeing it. I guess I'm lucky as no spikes were in here. Give us a lift out of here please." Spoke Lorundil raising a hand to be picked up.

It's then you hear a new sound. A wet hissing. As you turn to look you see a large spider the size of a full grown st Bernard dog cresting over the edge of the pit. It's multitude of glissening eyes regard you with maliciouse intent. Fangs the size of daggers ooze with it's venom. The creatures 'pet' has sprung it's trap.

The spider attempts to jump away from the arrow but it's speed and accuracy render it futile. The arrow embeds it'self as the creature screaches.
the attack is still in your favor
Both arrows pull freely out of the giant arachnid and with a little run/hop you can reach the top of the pit to climb up.
If you want to climb give me a roll and get above 25
As you land hard on the floor the spider leaps onto your back. It's massive bulk pinning you to the floor. You feel the large fangs pierce into your lower back and a sharp sting as it injects it's venom right next to your spinal column. The pain begins to subside as a numbness spreads throughout your body.
You loose all sence of feeling and control of your limbs and you can only watch as the giant spider begins to wrap you in it's silken coffin.

It's chest explodes in a shower of blood and visara. An elegant and ornate spear tip, protrudes from the oozing hole. As the creature falls forward, dead into the pit beside you, you see Lord Algen standing in its place. With the tip of his spear he dlices through the webbing. "When you can. Get up. You can't kill a bear sat on your arse!"
After some time life returns to your body. The punture holes hurt like hell now the venom has worn off. Lord Algen helps you out of the hole. "The Arachnida will not return now it smells the blood of its master. Thought I'd be hunting alone for a time."

"I got one of the bastard spiders but didn't see the other as I tried to make my way out. Thank you for the help." Smiled Lorundil.
"Still we have a bear to hunt don't we?" Laughed Lorundil as he went to follow Lord Algen.

Leaving the spiderling traps behind, you continue on through the trees and undergrowth. There are signs that the bear has been this way. Broken branches and hugh rends in the trees bark. By mid afternoon you reach a clearing. Several large stone obelisks have erupted from the ground.
