"I don't feel fear.. But I do not like the idea of facing an unknown enemy on an unknown battlefield."
Slaught walks around the room, looking down the different tunnels, then placing himself with his back against the tunnel they entered from. As he takes his axe in a steady grip, a dangerous smile plays over his lips.
"Let's see if this beast of ours is still around, shall we?" Without waiting for an answer, Slaught puts his fingers to his lips and let out a loud whistle, followed by another one.

Standing silent and listening once more, Slaught hoped to hear a sign of the beast. When there still was nothing to hear, he nodded to Logarth.
"Very well. Lead the way. Let's see if we cant find this fiend before it finds us.."

He turns and begins to make his way down the arched tunnel.

Logarth chose not to light a torch trusting that the darkness would hide them better than signaling their possition. His movements silent and fluid he knew each turn and tunnel.
He stopped only once to whisper back to Slaught, "We're nearly there."

Slaught turns around fast to perform yet another strike, but his attacker was quicker. The swing impacts hard on his chest, sending him flying into the wall. His axe tumbles through the tunnel and into the darkness. As the air is pressed out of his lungs, Slaught can hear a slight 'crack' from one of his ribs and he falls to his knees.

It pauses and sniffs the air. Great twisted horns protude from it's skull and it swings it's massive head from side to side. It fixes Slaught in it's gaze. Four balefull eyes stare at him and again it sniffs. This time smelling him.

Slaught slowly started to rise, careful not to make any threatening moves. While he rose, he met the beasts gaze with his own, and slowly raised himself to his full height.
If the beast was hesitant to kill him, then he maybe could reason with it. But on the other hand, if it would regain it's previous ferocity, Slaught would be ready, and would not let it survive the fight, a message he made sure to radiate towards the beast.
Standing completely still, he simply stared straight into the beast's four eyes, waiting for it to make a move.

Slaught quickly realizes that he only had two options to stop the troll. One was to slay it.. That was something he would rather not do. As it was, the troll was a more useful ally than Logarth.
The other was to make the beast see that Logarth, though not a true follower of chaos, was under the command of Slaught, therefore under his protection.
He filled his lungs with air, and bellowed out with all his might and authority:
"STOP!"
