Ok so you can defend. Which signifies you moving your head to avoid contact and that is played out. However, you will still be grappled. so, after you have explaind what happened with the head but you then add a grapple check at the end. If it beats the trolls then you can describe how you break free or how you turn the grapple so your have hold of the troll. if you fail however the troll still has a grip of you....is that clear

Seeing the Troll pull it's massive head Slaught quickly understood it's intention. With a terrible laugh of defiance he answered the beasts challenge, and pulled back his own head. Bringing his head forth with force, he met the Troll's headbutt with his own. The impact threatened to rip his head from it's shoulders, but still, it was less damage that would have been if the Troll had hit with full force.
Ignoring the pain in his head, he reached up with his legs, pushing them against the Troll's chest, applying force to break the beasts grip.

GuArD! YoU No SeE
It's voice rumbled. As he lay there he could hear the beast begin to move away from him. His breath ragged and shallow untill bouts of coughing up blood wracked his system.
Here I will leave your fate up to the dice gods of chaos..... over 40 and you will survive.... 39 and under this darkness and the cold stone floor shall be your tomb.
For a long time he lay there in the darkness. He could feel himself slip in and out of contiousness. Only to wake up violently chokeing on his own clotting blood, the darkness only to claim him again. Eventualy he tried to move, if only to lay on his side to stop the choaking. His head throbbed and he was sure he had sustained a punctured lung as breathing was excrutiating. He lay on the floor, congealed blood pooled about him. How long had he been like this!?

Yeah... Sorry about the HUGE post...

I admit, I got carried away. If there are any tests you want me to do, say like for the improvised treatment, just message me about it and I'll post one.
Again, sorry.

Slaught slowly started to get up. Pain seared through his damaged body, and he growled loudly. Every ragged breath he took was followed by new pain. But the pain was good.. It showed he was still alive. And it cleared his mind..
One of his lungs was punctured, that was certain. He gently touched his side, and flinched. When the damned Troll had thrown him to the ground, the force must have broken a couple of his ribs, which in turn had punctured his lung. He cursed silently. Slaught was a warrior, and thus had little knowledge of tending to wounds.. Inflicting wounds was what he knew.
It felt a little better when he gripped his axe once more, but it would not help his wounds. Slaught slowly made his way to a nearby wall, crawling over the cold stone floor. Leaning against the wall as carefully as possible, it still brought him unmentionable discomfort. As he rested his head against the wall, he thought about asking the Gods for assistance.. Enraged he pushed the thought away. He wanted the Gods favor, but not because he was a begging maggot, but because his actions deserved, or even demanded it!
Slaught cursed the damn Troll, and swore to take revenge. Not only that, he would take it's head! Not in the name of Khorne, but for himself! He would keep it on his armor until the ends of time..
Determined to survive, Slaught started to look for options. He had his axe, and the piece of rope he had tied to it, to keep it on his back while swimming. The only other thing he had with him was the loincloth he wore. Even if he had no idea where to start, he slowly began probing his injuries with his fingers, trying to understand where he could start tending to his wounds.
As he searched, he found a small bump between his ribs on the side of his punctured lung. It felt as if it was filled with air, which would be logical. The lung was punctured, the air had to go somewhere.. Slaught continued searching. After a while he could feel a crack in his skull that worried him.
While thinking about the matter, he took of his loincloth and folded it in front of him. Then he untied the rope from the axe, and started unravel it into string. After long moments of contemplating, Slaught thought he had an idea of what to do.
He started by tearing the loincloth in two pieces, taking one of them and wrapped it around his head with some string, hoping that it would help seal, and contain, the cracked skull. At the very least, the pressure made his head feel slightly better..
Moving on to the punctured lung, he carefully found the bump again. Gently Slaught took the axe blade against the bump, and cut it open. He could hear the air escaping from his lung as he did, but also feel how it started to get sucked in as he breathed. Taking the remaining piece of cloth, he folded it a couple of times, and then tied it against the wound with the remaining string. That would hopefully allow the air to escape out from the wound, but not let it get sucked in..
Satisfied that he had done all he could, Slaught forced his body through the pain, and to his feet. He needed to move, or else he might as well be dead. Even if he couldn't see much in the darkness, there should still be something he could find out there. At best, a way to start a fire. At worse, the Troll.. Either way, he would not find anything by sitting against a wall. Slowly, but steady, Slaught made his way through the darkness, using his axe for support.

Ahead he heard movement. Not much, just a subtle shift in the debris, but his instincts kicked in. The was someone / something there, moving low and carfully amongst the ruins.

Just so you know, not trying to make my way out. Just to find something I can use to slay that damn Troll..

Crouching low through the pain, Slaught moved closer. He could feel how his body longed for the rush of adrenaline and thrill of battle once more. As silent as he could he sneaked towards the sound, axe in hand.

In the gloom Slaughts eyes seemed to have adjusted some. He could see the crouched figure of what potentially could have been Logarth. He could make out the glint of his curved blades on his back. Logarth was carfully making his way through the rubble. He was quiet but Slaught had still located him.

Closing in on Logarth, Slaught launches out in a grappling move, aiming to prevent Logarth from making sudden moves, and holding his mouth to stop him from shouting out.

Feeling hands reach out of the darkness trying to grab him, Logarth halts his attacker and bending slightly throws back his elbow for a body blow.

Confident that he had the element of surprise, Slaught was caught of guard by Logarth's counter attack.
Barley able to roll away, Logarth's elbow rammed straight into Slaught's ribs, and he growled hard. But at the same time he thanked the Chaos Gods that it wasn't on his damaged side..
Slaught stumbled backwards, holding his side.
"Nice one.. I do think I have underestimated you..." He said silently through gritted teeth.

Logarth stands before Slaught. He speaks with barely a whisper "So... what do you want to do from here? I can take you up to the surface or aid you in your search for that unholy creature your so fond of."

"I have a score to settle, and a troll skull to claim as a trophy.. I have no intention to leave this place until I have. If you want to follow me, then do so, but don't get in my way!"
Without waiting for reply, Slaught ventured of into the darkness. Not really certain how he would find the creature, he simply moved in the direction that felt right, thrusting his killing instincts to lead him to his prey...

Slaught's wounds ached and several times he had to fight off the urge to rest. Logarth kept to his rear ever watching behind them for signs of danger.
For what seemed like several long hours, signs of the beast were begining to show. Bones, humanoid littered the area. Evidence of them being gnawed upon.
"So plan is to just kill this thing right?" Logarth's voice a bare whisper in the air.

"No, I don't plan to 'just kill this thing'.. I plan to defeat it in combat and take it's head as a trophy! It got me the last time, the cleaver beast, but it made one big mistake.. Leaving me alive! And this time, I won't make it so easy..."
