"You will do.. If you serve well, you might receive blessings from the Dark Gods. But if you fail me, I shall consume you..." He says to the animal. Not because he believes the animal understands him, but because it deserves fair warning..

Praag the city known to it's inhabitants as 'the Cursed City' due to its location, it has suffered at the hands of Chaos on numerous occasions, since it is a target for raiding bands of marauders and for warhosts attempting to drive south into Kislev and ultimately the Empire. Now the city is once again besieged. Fighting is constant and bloody as the armies of the Raven Host strive to once again take controll of this strategically effective area. The Order of the Griffon however, fight furiously to keep the raging hoards at bay.
The Slavers make for a quieter section of the siege army along the mountain range known as the Talon Peaks. Here they make their camp.

Back in camp the slavers were arguing.
"What are we going to do with the new shipment if we can get in the city?" one asked.
"Then we sell em all to the Raven's" another replied.
"We won get 'alf as much selling to them." called another.
The Leader sat looking into the fire. Half listening to what was being said and half away with his thoughts elsewhere.
".... don't you agree Logarth?"
At the menton of is name he looked up.
"Tonight I'm going into the city. I will contact Praytus and set up the sale. We got the goods here it's down to him to sort the rest."
The others nodded their agreement.

"How would you like to turn this little war into something much greater..? To drench Praag in a sea of blood, and turn this little skirmish into a Crusade worthy of the Dark Gods!?"
Turning to stare down at Logarth, Slaught continues:
"You shall show me the way in, and we will destroy the defenses from within. We will open the gates, and the city shall fall!"

"I thought it would be obvious to a man like yourself.. Praag would become a safe haven for "traders" like yourself. Besides, as the city defenders would be caught up in pushing the attackers back, they would leave the rest of the city undefended, ripe with spoils for you, and your men.."
Slaught makes a pause, letting his words sink in, before he continues:
"And you never know when one of the Gods watches.. Or what kind of gifts they might grant someone who impress them... Someone who played an important part in the fall of the cursed city of Praag after 200 years! Impressive to say the least..."
Feeling certain that he had peaked Logarth's interest, Slaught continued to what he believed would be the final argument that would seal the deal..
Slaught let out a malicious laugh, and waved one arm to point out at the surrounding siege of Praag.
"Can you imagine the Raven Host's shame when the one who broke Praag's defenses was not them, a mighty army, but a small war-band led by you?!"
When Slaught had finished his speech, he approached Logarth once again, and looked him straight in the eyes.
"So.. What say you..?"

Thanks, but I can't take all credit. It was Catty's idea in the first place. Still trying to recruit her...

"Good.. Very good... A wise decision indeed.." Slaught answered with a calm tone, but he laughed at the mans stupidity in silence.

Once there we shall enter via a consealed route." He pauses, "Your armour looks heavy. This will cause you a problem, unless you can breath under water?"

Can I breath under water..? Please?? XD
You're seriously trying to send me into Praag without armor?!? >.<
Okay, I guess I don't have a choice, now do I? -.-'
Hmm... Can I even take off the armor?

[/spoiler]
"I can't say I relish the thought of abandoning my armor.. But as long as I have a weapon in my hand, my prowess in battle will protect me."
Said and done, Slaught starts to take of his armor. The sensation was a new one. Slaught had not been without his armor since he had been blessed with it. He could feel how the armor reluctantly let go of his flesh, and before long Slaught stood without armor. His form was not any less imposing without the heavy armor; his pale and scarred skin bulging with muscles that had been grown from constant fighting. His hair was pitched black and short. Not from being cut, but because it had completely stopped growing. Slaught's eyes pained now when he didn't watch the world through his helmet. The iris was bleak, almost disappearing into the white of his eyes. His skin crawled, his senses overwhelmed when not longer protected by the metal plate.
Taking a piece of rope, Slaught tied his battleaxe to his back, and then turned to face Logarth.
"I'm ready to go. I trust that I will find my armor upon my return.. ..and that I do not need to inform you what will happen if I don't!" The last part was nothing more than a growl filled with promises of suffering and painful death. His voice was even harder now, when it wasn't muffled by the armor.

The air felt cold on his raw exposed flesh. His nerves tingled.
"Follow me." Logarth ventured. His riders set off towards the RavenHost llines and quickly Logarth ran towards the river. Slaught saw him leap and crest in the air and enter the water in a near splashless dive.

Slaught set of, sprinting towards the water and leaped into the river, following Logarth's lead.

"So how come you haven't shared this little secret before?"
Even though Slaught was sure Logarth intended to keep his part of the arrangement, it was not certain how far Logarth would go. Or, for that matter, how long it would take until Logarth changed his mind.. Either way, Slaught was ready to kill him if it was needed.
Logarth was just a means to an end...

As they continued down the river course they could see a huge stone bridge.
"Thats the first marker." Logarth commented, "We shall vacate the water course at the third bridge."
Slaught could see fighting. Worriors of the Griffon fighting against what he recognised as beastmen. As they approached the arches casualties from both sides were falling off the bridge into the river.
