Slaught barley had time to see what hit him, when the corpse of a large goat-headed beastman falls down from the bridge above. With a violent impact, the corpse headbutts Slaught, forcing him under the water. While clinging to his consciousness, the dead beastman stuck to Slaught, and started to drag him down with the heavy weight.

When Slaught finally awoke, he quickly realizes he has little time. He started struggling to get loose from the extra weight, and at the same time swimming to reach the surface, and the precious, very needed, air.

[Talon Lord Othrim]

While he fights to free himself from the dead weight Slaught sees in the murky water Logarth swimming towards him. Together they remove the load and begin to make for the surface. Just as he is about to crest the water to take a lungfull of air Logarth grabs him just short of the surface. He then surfaces slowly with him.

"If the Gods would grant me a gift after this, the ability to breath under water would be appreciated.." Slaught said silently through gritted teeth, between ragged breaths of air.

[Talon Lord Othrim]

"My appologise for holding you under but if you had burst up for air it may have attracted attention." They had passed the bridge, the underflow currents running faster than the surface. They were close to the next bridges. Two close together. Logarth swam over to the city side of the town.
"We are near. When we are under the second bridge we must dive down. The outflow is there. Once we clear the pipe we will come up into the sewer."

Slaught stayed silent and floated along the river. The pain in his head made him grit his teeth, but no blood had been spilled. He made a mental note to take out this pain on the first creature that stood in his way...
He looked over to Logarth. Event thought the man had saved his life, he had just showed himself to be an even bigger fool.. Slaught would still end his life, if it came to it.

As they approached the second bridge, Slaught prepared to follow Logarth's lead. He had no intention of being stuck beneath the surface once more...

Once at the second bridge Logarth swam over to the city side. "We need to dive under and swim the length of the pipe. Hope you have a good set of lungs under that massive chest." He takes a deep breath and dives under.

Slaught wasted no time. Filling his lungs, gulping down air, he dived down in the murky water.

Down he went feeling the stone foundations of the bridge until he found the opening. The tube wide enough for two men to swim side by side had been covered by a grate however at some point the bars had been cut free.
Once through the gap the tunnel became close to near total darkness. He could feel the flow of the warter constantly against him and several times he had to use rubble and debris to claw his way forward. He could feel his lungs begin to burn when light above him guided the way. Breaking the surface of the water he could see Logarth stood in a sewer walkway, a torch burning.

"Welcome to the underway." he greeted him with an offer of his hand to help him out of the water.

"What a charming place.." Slaught grunts as he climbs out of the water by himself. As he stands up, he hefts the axe from his back, taking it in a tight grip. Slaught can feel the weapon thirst for combat, a thirst that resonates within himself.
"Lead the way..." Slaught said silently, walking a few meters behind Logarth, avoiding to look straight into the torch, so that his dark-vision would not be reduced.

For some time Logarth lead Slaught through the maze of underground waterways. Twists turn this way and that. Slaught lost any trace of direction. Soon Logarth held up his hand ad he peaked around a corner. He backed up. "There should be two men posted at the doorway down there but the corridor is empty! I don't understand."

[Iron K]

Feeling like a rat in a maze, Slaught follows Logarth patiently, longing to be under the sky once more. Slaught was a warrior, and belonged on the battlefield, not a simple rouge that crept through the darkness. When Logarth speaks up, Slaught is alarmed. Turning his back against Logarth and the torch, he gazes out into the darkness.
"That means we're not alone down here.. And not in a good way..." He whispers, while he tries to sense any presences in the tunnels.

Sending out his sences, his worriors wits, he can feel a presance. The tendlis of the warp have roamed these dank pipes.

Logarth extinguished the tourch and drew his blades. He silently moved around the corner towards the doorway.

In the dark, Slaught's eyes was not good for anything. Instead he relied on his other senses. He moved towards the door as silent as he could. Not intending to let Logarth get the first blood, he moved through the doorway, axe at the ready.

Just inside the door way lay the bodies of two men. Visarated and slashed in variouse places they looked as though some beast had raveged them. Logarth kept low and checked the bodies.

"They have been dead for some time." he whispered then continued to make his way slowly down the tunnel pausing once to turn back to Slaught. "We are aproaching a diversion chamber where most of the meetings take place."

The chamber was wide, had high walls and many tunnel exits. Perfect for multiple escape route should the meeting be raided. It had been a long time since the water level had risen high enough for it to be used so the chamber provided and excelent meeting place. This time however the sight before them was not so excelent. Many bodies lay strewn about the place, some individuals even lay in variouse ares of the chamber. "What could have done this!" Logarth's voice in awe of the scene before them. Slaught could see that some of the men here had not even drawn their blades in attack or deffence. The scene was animalistic carnage.

Slaught stepped into the chamber, untouched by the evident massacre. Looking around and taking in the scene of battle, or of slaughter to be more precise, he started to talk.
"Interesting.. That is a very good question. Some of the guards didn't even have time to react, and draw their weapons, so it was something fast. Whatever it is, it probably know these tunnels very well, and can travel silently and unseen, and therefore could surprise these fools. And it's strong. Not even I could spread out an opponent like that.. Yet, anyways. It was probably not a group, but a single individual. I don't think this is the works of sorcery.. Magic's 'cleaner' than this.. This is pure rage induced muscles.." Slaught fell silent, and scratched his neck thoughtfully with the blade of the axe.

"It isn't human. I've seen a couple of Dark Elves wenches do feats like these on the battlefield, but I find it hard to believe that one or more of those would be under Praag. Could be the accursed Skaven, but they aren't nearly strong or brave enough. Besides, then the bodies would have been looted. On the other hand, it could have been a damn Rat Ogre.. No, to stupid and noisy..."

Slaught then turns to give Logarht a dangerous smile.
"Then there's just one option left.. A chaos beast!"

[Talon Lord Othrim]

"Impressive," Logarth replied. "I have heard rumours of a creature that lives under Praag but never in my years seen any evidence of it,......till now." He servays the scene around him. "It is believed that there is a warp twisted Troll down here and if you are to believe the rumours it is supposed to be in possesion of a valuabe chaotic artifact. The gang used to use it as a way of keeping people away. Don't think any of them actually thought it existed."

He gingerly moved across the chamber to the other side. "We need to go up to the town and see if the Ring Master is aware of this development. He is their leader and I dont see any evidence that he was among them at the time of the attack."

"How far is it..?" Slaught said distantly as he stood in the middle of the devastation with a thoughtful expression on his face, axe against his shoulder.

[Talon Lord Othrim]

"It wont take us long to get through the sewer, then we shall need to cross the city. Providing there are no complications, about half an hour or so." He moves round the chamber. "Here, this is the passage we should take."

Slaught gives out a low laughter.
"So you want to travel throughout this maze of tunnels, even though you know fully well a chaos warped troll stalks it..?"

He smiles, "I did say providing there were no complications. Did not take you as someone who would be scared of a little, implied threat? I may be greedy and over ambitious but I'm not stupid."
