I'm perfectly fine with a hammer, but there are two things I really hate.
1. People who pick an assault and will then only use the Plasma Pistol and mad trigger that.

2. Veteran Players who use a hammer and then use Killing blow with it

Those are personally two things I hate, no offense to anyone who does this.

This is a good description of the hammers on my team that I have to play against all the time.

corner camping with a heavy bolter is almost the only way to stay alive, once your snaped down your range becomes extreamly limited. I am not sating it is not cheep but it is less cheep then the cover fireing you can do with a dev. I play only as a heavy dev with a heavy bolter so that is the only bone i have to pick. I compleatly agree with everything else

sir you need a few lessons with me or xepher of deathwatch then, I stomp kill assaults and shoot them in the face unplanted all the time. Rom-nom-nom.

I totally agree with fuzzy, its my only real problem when it comes to assaults spaming plasma shot, i usually melt assaults in 1 go but might take 2 shots sometimes, And i can name a few who do this;)

My lascannon tactic....

1: they land
2: take my stims
3: press X simutanioulsy
4: fire point blank into chest.
5: walk away


Simple. Now fuzzy, you know that's not how I used to roll with my Axe/sword. Remember waaay back to the time of the Templars in which my initiation was taking place. My axe dealt some damage. Now are 'my' tactics allowed? sneaky sneaky then all out that is

Fallen: I am not saying what tactics should be allowed I am simply making a point based on personal opinion, I honestly don't care what you do as long as if you accept my 1v1 challenge you abide by the rules I have set.

I am not an assault marine player but i can tell you this....meltas,plasma cannons,thunder hammers,plasma pistols those weapons arent invencible if i as a tac with only a butter knife has mastered ways to kill them in close combat then you veteran assaults should not have trouble finding ways around them

But heyyy you guys can borrow my knife any time if you wish ;D

I have never claimed this. All I have said is that the truly great assaults were before the p pistol and hammer spam started. There are many ways around it but that is a completely different subject matter to the one that I put up in my first post.

*edit: ill tell ya what though, you use ONLY your knife against my hammer and we'll see how it goes if you have mastered CQC with only a butter knife.

So many funny and true things have been said, this thread should be renamed "The Most Broken Shit in Space Marine". Speaking of which, here's my list .

1. Rapid Deployment
2. Hammer
