"i met a family member of lord ralthans who had the key to solving the riddle to open this vault he died in the mountains so i took it and gave it to lord ralthan and he hired me to come here with him so whats your story Theldon its rare to see an elf so far from the coast."

"I thankyou for your story Wulfric," Theldon replies, "but my story is my own." He lays back down on the cot. It's clear he has no more to say to you. Yaris scoffs and offers you a cup of steaming liquid.
"Here friend I suggest we sleep tonight and attack the morning with vigor."

"thanks" Wulfric says blowing on the liquid to cool it. " sleep sounds good" he says before taking a drink of the liquid.

The rest of the evening is peacfull and Yaris is a plesant companion. Sleep takes you and you rest well. The next morning you are woken as two other guards enter the hut. They warm themselves by the fire and add a few more logs. Yaris and Theldon wake and dress. "It's our shift." Yaris yawns, "Not sure what your doing but I'm sure the site master will have a job for you. You'd better get ready."

Lord Ralthen and his entourage come to the site early morning. The site manager has all preperations ready and the Lord is keen to get to the door. He see's you and insists that you accompany him. Armed with the stone tablet the group of workers enters the mine.

The Stone door stands proud. Faceless statues flank the anchient calved doorway. Lord Ralthen positivly vibrates with excitement.

Wulfric draws his sword and straps his shield to his arm "doesnt hurt to be prepared"

Ralthen begins to intone sounds as he reads alowed from a scroll. Wulfric see's symbols begin to glow on the stone doorway. Magic of some kind is obviously at play here. After eight symbols are lit the door seal blows and dust is expeled into the air. It grinds backwards and rolls to the side. The groups whoops and cheers, the air thick with dust. After some time the dust begins to settle revealing a worked corridor going back into darkness.

Wulfric looks into the tunnel " we'll need torch or lantern bearers as well as one for yourself Lord Ralthan so it will leave my arms free to wield my sword and shield as there was magic protecting the door there could possibly be magical guardians" he says looking back at lord Ralthan.

[Talon Lord Othrim]

"Yes yes, your quite right." He replies "quickly fetch forward the light. He draws his own sword "Wulfric and I shall take lead, I want guards fron and rear of the work party. Steady now."

The assembled work force organise and once the nod is given to the Lord he looks to you. "Ready to make history in my Uncles name?"

"I am Lord Ralthan shall we proceed" Wulfric says looking into the tunnel

The party begins to move forward, and they are greated by an agginising scream from somewhere ahead. Every one freezes.

"i think we should nice you into the general press of bodies and move cautiously from here on in lord Ralthan and move a couple of guards to be next to me as we advance"

[Talon Lord Othrim]

"Although I am eager to see what lays ahead I think your right. The guards should check ahead first for safty before we begin exploring." He orders the rest to return. "Wulfric I want you to take the lead. Once its clear come back and give me a report."

Wulfric looks at the other guards " right men torch bearer in the middle me and another shield man to the fore" with that Wulfric heads down the corridor with the guards and torch bearer.

Once organised the group begin to move down the tunnel. The walls and floor worked stone but here and their stalegtites and stalegmites like archaic teeth punctuate the void.

In the flickering light of the tourch Wulfric can make out a humanoid form. It shambles and stumbles about. The stench of blood is heavy. As it shambles closer he can see its a female, hands red with blood and large wounds in it's legs oozing deep red fluid. He see's it's eyes, white with possable cateracts.

Wulfric rushes the creature and swings his sword at its neck hoping to sever the creatures head

As he closes the gap and is in mid swing the creature pushes herself on calling out. "Help its behind me" stumbling forward she calls out again.

She drops down to the ground under his blade yelling almost screaming "stop its coming behind me" a ploom of her hair falls.

Wulfric moves to one side "guards watch her torch bearer to me" with that Wulfric moves forward with the torch bearer
