[Talon Lord Othrim]

"Athris?" the man ponders this name for a while, "Sorry friend can't say as I've heard the name. There are a few noble families in town. We shall go and collect the body and take him down to the chapel. Thankyou and hope you find the people your looking for."

At that he bids you good day and begins to move his cart onward. Clearly as far as their concerned this conversation is over.

"Thanks" Wulfric says before continuing on his way after collecting his gear together

After several hours Wulfic made his way to Mortensholme. The city rose higher and higher as he approached. Merchants made there way in and out through huge portcullis'd gates. Guards mill around it's entrance talking to people as they enter.

Wulfric walks towards the guards at the gate " ho there neighbour could you perchance tell me the directions to the noble houses" he says in a friendly manner

"The Noble houses?" he looks you over. "Their over on the west side of town. What business do you have here..... neighbour?"

" two reasons really one is im looking for work as im a mercenary and two i was up in the pass at the travelers shelter and found an old man who died last thing i heard from his lips was he was coming here to see his noble relative so im going to break the sad news to them"

" Being a messenger of bad news such as that is never a great thing but the fact you are willing to carry it out is noble indeed. Which of the Noble houses do you seek? maybe I could direct you better."

Wulfric looks at the guard " to be honest all i have to go on is the name of the old man which was Athris he slipped away before he could give me a name. From what i could tell he and his family seemed to be scholars and explorers, it feels like a needle in a haystack to be honest"

"Now I would not say it's gonna be as hard as that. Lord Ralthen is well known as an avid explorer some say he has spent nearly every coin he owns digging holes in the ground. My bet is if its an explorer you want, seek out Lord Ralthen."

The guard gives you directions how best to reach the nobles residence.

Wulfric hands the guard a gold piece "thank you for your time good man" with that he turns and walks into the city heading through the main thoroughfares to the gates of Lord Ralthens slightly run down mansion "hello there guard is there any chance Lord Ralthen is in residence i have news on his uncle" Wulfric says walking upto the gate guard

The guard eyes you somewhat suspiciously and tells you to wait. He diss appears inside and after a while he returns accompanied by and elderly men. The guard says something to the gent then indicates you. The gent approaches. "greetings stranger and welcome to Lord Ralthens abode. I am Hector, the lords man servant. Can I be of assistance? I believe you bring a message?"

"yes I do firstly does the lord have an uncle called Athris? If so i have a sad message for him if not ill be on my way" Wulfric says looking between the old man and guard

"Arthis, hum Arthis" He thinks. "Yes I believe he does, come with me."
He ushers you inside. "Please follow me."

Wulfric walks after the steward, while he walks he takes mental note of the quickest way out of the mansions grounds. " have you worked here all your life?" He asks the old man politely

"in service of my lord and master, his father and his father before him. His lordship will be so aggrieved to hear of his uncle. Not far now" He takes you into a very cluttered room filled with artificers of all kinds. A gental man in his early twenties stands over a desk filled with papers. "M'Lord the messenger has arrived" he looks up to you.

"Milord i bring tragic news I was travelling through the mountain pass when i stop at a travelers rest to out wait the storm that was there in there was a man called Arthis who told me he was on his way here to to a job he sadly passed away during the night upon going through his affects i found a letter from his nephew to him so i thought id come and deliver the sad news and the things he was carrying to his nephew" Wulfric says placing the letter and small tablet on the table infront of the noble man

He lifts up the tablet in his hands and slowly sinks down into a chair. He then looks to the letter. "He was to aid me with a new excavation I'm working on. This tablet was to be the key to open....I'm sorry I dont even know your name" his voice soft with grief. He now looks to you water glinting in his eyes.
