thrass grabs his helmet and hurls it , cracking you in the forhead with it painfully, but more out of playfullness than anger.

 

"If you can get him to agree im sure he would...Hes supposedly started his own school."

thrass stands and looms over levtrer who is completely unconscious .

 

"if it wasnty for the fact his blood is within me...Id cut his neck and drain him like a fruit pouch.."

 

his hands twitch lightly.

 

"But i pay my debts.."

Aella yelped, flailing afterwards. She leaned into Caitlyn and tried to twirl the girl in front of her like a meatshield, though she knew no further assault would take place. "Rude!"

 

She wound her arms about Caitlyn's waist, mindful not to smear blood on her suit. "I think I'd like to do that. Soon. So make sure you don't fall out of love in that time frame, otherwise I'm sure he'd be disappointed."

 

She lowered her gaze, staring at Cait's shoulder. "Thank you for saving me," she whispered for what felt like the first time in her life. ".. We could just leave him, you know."

thrass shakes his head and takes some pills from his belt, giving some to the fallen headtaker.

 

"Dont think anything of it..YOu make caitlin smile.... ALl that matters is that she smiles."

 

drawing his axes from the floor he goes to the window and opens it, crawling toward the corpse of the predator.

 

"We keep waht we kill......BUry your face in my sister or something.....I have work to do."

 

Ciaitlyn chuckles and shakes her head.

 

"I am not a toy Thrass!"

 

she licks her lips a bit and chuckles.

 

"well...SOmetimes i am."

It was odd to hear that from the brute. He had always glared disapprovingly at them... Probably because they were utterly open about their relationship. She snickered as Thrass crawled out the window. "There's a front door-- oh wait."

 

"Sometimes," Aella grinned, nuzzling along Caitlyn's neck. "Should we go keep watch?"

the large warrior is hacking and yanking away hunks of his prize, setting it aside for grafting to his armor as caitlin looks at the pc, going through the pages.

 

"ALl of this..Right under everyone's noses....How many people did we see go into the black factory....None came out...How could we not have noticed?"

 

Her finger hovers over the final file before she looks at you.

"To be fair, we have seen so many people die that we are accustomed to everyone around us disappearing at one point or another." Still, the information haunted her. As much as all of Obrieg's children underwent years of torture, this pushed the boundaries of what she though Obrieg was capable of. It seemed like he was more creative then Aella gave him credit for. 

 

"Yeah, let's see how much more fucked up this can get."

the file opens and your heart drops. A fully fledged revolution. Ho siht will be scuttled, its leadership imprisoned or brought down. The first step is to fully infuse all headtaker with the mutagenic implants and lead an attack on augustus cain, the father of the known goverment.  To perform this obrieg needs a massive amount of support from foreign power, and there is no way he can do it within the immediate future, which makes you sigh in releif.

Aella was relieved. She was grinning, as it meant that they would actually have time to prepare and hone their skills. Perhaps Aella would even be able to train under Melinko. Until.. "Wait. We don't know for certain that the ones that have already undergone the operation are dead. We just know that they never returned." Even though it was probably out there in terms of theories, Aella didn't want to give them time they may not actually have. 

 

She reached around Caitlyn to get access to the laptop's trackpad to return to the Odin Project file to check for the exact number of the experiments survived, the current survival rate, how long each harvest and implant took, adaption period, and then finally checked the Recruits folder for how many Headtakers there are. "We need to know how long we have."

the folder has a list of over 2000 taken headtakers...a sizable force.

 

Each ones name, rank and mentor are shown.....

 

But as you scroll something becomes apparent. None have survived. That is until you get to the last name, on the last page..The newest recruit jeckel. But as you enter tehe file you see a checklist of procedures ... But only two have been complete. One known only as Prepwork, the second being Ocular shining."
 

Caityln raises her brow at this.

 

'They intentionally blinded him...... But they havent been able to go forward...WHy.."

[Oce]

"Because of his father," she breathed, her focus shifting to Jeckel trying to determine whether or not he was awake and listening in. "Obrieg would have lied to cover his ass. Can't just tell a kid that he is more valuable alive without him getting any ideas. And an ego." Aella sighed as she went through the files trying to find undeniable evidence that proved that Krieg was Jeckel's father. "We can't leave him. He needs to come with us. Obrieg can't hold him over Krieg, otherwise it will just get more complicated later on."

 

She ran a hand through her hair in frustration from being forced to read so much. "Could just call Krieg back..."

caitlyn hits the button and the number dials, before a few long moments later, krieg answers.

 

"Good...it seems you are thinking.. How can i help you."

 

He asks, stretching in fron t of the camera

"You're going to tell your kid that you're his father." Her tone left no room to broker an argument. "You know that everything will be so much more challenging if Obrieg has him. May as well give it a shot, even if it blows up in our faces." She hadn't really meant to glare, but the stressed edge in her voice and her not quite relaxed posture gave her away. "Worst case scenario, he runs back to Obrieg, undergoes the operation, and leads the charge in coming after you." 

 

Aella didn't say 'us'. She still wasn't determined.

"you expect me..TO somehow control and convince a boy whos been told i am the second coming of the devil that im his father...Think about that for a few seconds"

 

Caithlyn chuckles and leans backm nippng the line of your jaw.

 

"he has a point.."

She huffed, her smiled somewhat strained. "I never claimed that it would be easy. But it is either you do this, or your son will end up dead by your hands. Unless, you plan on dropping the entire idea of rebellion and letting him kill you. We don't have a choice."

krieg sighs, scratching his head and he nods.

 

"Tie him up....make it so that he cant attack you or your fine little friend.."

 

krieg loads up a video and sighs,.

 

"This may be a bit..much."

Aella nipped Caitlyn's neck before she pulled away to go retrieve the bed sheets stained with Thrass and Jeckel's blood. As she was wadding the fabric up, she stared at Jeckel, half expecting him to be awake and ready to attack her. Still, she moved to bind his hands together, winding the makeshift rope around one of his legs to better restrain his hands. "... We aren't about to watch porn, are we?"

"You both arent....He is.."

 

krieg says as he whistles, rousing but not fully waking jeckel up .

 

"Do me a facor....aella pinch the back of his neck just undcer the skul lfor me."

[Oce]

"What a great way to wake up," she muttered sarcastically as she obliged with the pinch, mindful not to scratch him with her nails. She didn't look at him as she pulled away, instead grinning cheekily at no one in particular.

the boy wakes up gorgily, looking around but instantly focuses on krieg.

 

'You.."

 

he says weakly as krieg raises his hand to silence him.

 

"Look...we dont have time to play ring around the death threats....YOu want me dead and i have a ton of information."

A video begins to play of a young woman,  With chestnut hair and bright green eyes being taken to a diner , with a much younger krieg.

 

"Your mother was Amy Sanderson.... A veteranarian from the falling Day sanctum.... SHe liked flowers and had a special fondness for cats."

 

krigs eyes narrow and he begins to tense, but threass manages to make his way inside, sitting besides jeckel, his threat plalpable.

 

"You where taken by obrieg and told that you would be part of his project mao...But halfway through he told you that i was responsible for stealing the orridium needed and killing off his best scientist."

 

jeckel huffs and growls.

 

'How do you know all this ! how can you even expect me to beleive this!"

 

Krieg sighs and a video comes up....A graphic video...with boobs...and unsopeakable acts being committed.

 

"Your mother was killed when obrieg took you..YOu where only a child."

 

Besides the trauma of seeing his mother in such...positions, jeckel growls dangerously.

 

'None of this is true....Youre trying to save your own skin."

 

Krieg sighs and shakes his head.

 

"Boy..Even if i stood still youd never even get close... I have a fucking weaponized t rex and a flaming german luchador... It would be a mess. Im not trying to get you to beleive me with jsut this call..Only asking you to come to the rendevous and let me supply proof."

 

jeckel looks from the screen and to his squadmates.

 

"You set this all up.....You beleive this bullshit?"

Aella tried her best to tune out their discussion, not really caring for their words. Only the results mattered to her at this point in time, and the entire 'I'm going to show my kid me fucking his mom' plan was kind of disturbing. Aella couldn't remember anything about her parents prior to the scene of them being slaughtered, but even then she knew that she didn't want to see exactly how she was made. The entire morals around it confused her, despite ultimately finding it revolting. She almost pitied Jeckel.

 

When her squadmate growled, Aella looked up to watch Caitlyn with a partially amused smirk, not really moving too far away from Jeckel lest he managed to escape the knots. It took her a moment to realize that Krieg's lecture was over and the blind guy was speaking to them. 

 

"It makes more sense then anything Obrieg has said. Why else would you still be alive right now? If Obrieg hadn't found out about your lineage, that experiment would have killed you. If it was Krieg actually killing the doctors, don't you think contact would have been made with you?" She tilted her head, crimson locks partially blocking sight of her cold green eyes. "I don't know what Krieg is hiding yet, but it certainly can't be any worse than Obrieg."
