you see curias and cain and three others in tow, and the rest of the tip goes as planned.

 

as you come to waht the group use a camp, the city of detroit can be seen in the distance. it is a bombed wreck, but there are walls that will need breaking down.  Brigands and cuthroats have set up outposts and as you set up encampments, yo ucan see they can full well see the rebellion coming.

 

"I can probably knock that wall down.."

"Negative. Don't need you getting shot up to hell just to prove a point." Aberga replied as he stared intently at the layout of the enemy 'fortifications'. If what Augustus had told them was correct, these are either under the command of that Drachen Lieutenant, or they were bandits that banded together. Either way they're an obstacle to the city itself, as well as the still standing walls. He wondered if they could get a line with that son, or how without alerting the boy's father. He does have silencers to work with this time around, perhaps that was the answer. "Solgin, get Cain on the line, got a plan forming but its going to need a quieter touch."

"Whats going on abrega. Im with some silencers reconning the area. IS there something you need?"

"Well I got a job that'll have you going deeper than that." Aberga started off, staring at the 'fortifications' ahead of him. It felt wrong even calling these piles of refuse that to the siege commander. "The basic parts of the plan so far is for Silencers, with the more finesse touch compared to anyone I got, to find and get in contact with the son of this lieutenant and see what support he can muster up from within. From what Augustus said he's at odds with his father about what's been going on here so we might have a friend here." He explain Cain's part of the plan before going into his. "As for out here, well I don't know about you but I rather not have a bunch of wasteland raiders as neighbors. We'll break the ones out here and scatter the survivors if they're smart enough to run and kept attracting attention our way while you work your magic, and then move in further when we get the Son's cooperation in freeing this city." He finished his basic outlining of the plan to him.

Cain chirps back and you hear a chuckle.

 

'Wait a tick..WHy am i being called on like a grunt., Im commanding officer here."

 

Krieg comes from behind some ammo boxes and taps his earbud.

 

'Technically i am commanding officer of all of you.. I dont want to hear it."

The Colonel just sighed at the exchange between the three of them, but with a smirk on his ragged face. Didn't really matter which of the three were in charge, as long as he still had the sway over what happens to the men and women in his company. "Oh really? How well has that been working for you Krieg?" Aberga chuckled before reaching down to the radio system of the transport, changing the channel of the comm unit and made sure the channel was encrypted as per protocol before speaking to the head officers of Arx Destortes.

 

"Well boys and girls, we're setting up the staging area here. Cain is running a special run for us, but our main concern is taking care of the riff raff out here. Dr.Volter, Dr. Crane, I want those medicae tents up stat." Aberga started off first with the list of order he already had formed in his head.

 

"Yes Sir." The senior medical experts said, with some grumbling coming from Crane the bio weapon specialist. Crane already knew it was very unlikely that his 'inventions' will more than likely not be used if he was assigned to help Harlen. Aberga ignored it for now but marked it for later talk with the perturbed man.

 

"Engineer Sillenum, Set up the artillery batteries and have them pre aimed for a bombardment of the outer perimeter of the city and keep the shells from hitting the city to a minimum. Also, status on the commendered Railgun Tank?"

 

"Affirmative Colonel Nocturne. The tank itself is has full mobility but I require further testing and tuning to be sure the magnetic system of the main weapon and every other computer system has either remained unharmed or fixed and replaced after your...commendering action Colonel." The Engineer informed him, referring to Aberga bathing the interior with gamma radiation to kill the Chinese crew.

 

"Roger that. Commander Jones, Lieutenant Valentine, you two will be leading the breakthroughs when the line breaks. Tanks will be withheld as the urban environment would make them too ineffective. Infantry fighting vehicles will be used still. Bring the Ghosts along with you, you'll be hitting targets that recon team have found." 

 

"Yes sir." They both acknowledged. Despite being a tank commander first, Jonas never did seem to pass by a chance to use one of the IFVs instead of his usual command python tank. Probably liked the faster speed and manuverability of the lighter armored vehicle. Though Aberga was willing to bet that Tina, and the rest of the Ghosts, were dreading in having Commander Hammerlock as their driver.

 

"Solgin, Thrask, feel like doing recon work? I want to see what makes up their defenses, what it's like beyond them, vital areas, you know the deal."

SOlgin o nthe other hand nods and spreads his wings.

 

"Ill scout wit da drone commanda... Ill see if i can pick off a guard or something too on my way back."
 

the bat varghen vanishes into the darknening sky and krieg comes over, leaning against the tank.

 

"ANd to answer you, good enough that i was able to lead you like noctourne needed me to and lead a rebellion with a full tank force....What do you say about that."

"I mean, if that's what you have to tell yourself." Aberga shrugged before giving a lopsided grin. Of course that went away as he remembered the vision he had earlier with solgin, now coming to the fore with most of the present duties now being covered. "....You wouldn't happen to know if Augustus is still nearby or not would you?" The colonel asked him. The varghen....no, elemental, couldn't shake the feeling that what he saw was involved with this place. Or if this place would be the start of it.

He points outside the camp where the white company silencers can be seen handlign their weapons.

 

"He is getting ready to leave... WHy is everything ok?"

 

he asks, eyeing the commander warily.

 

"Anxious about something?"

Aberga checked his comm unit to make sure it was off before giving a sigh. "...On the way here, me and solgin had....fuck, I guess you can call it a vision or something. Some red headed woman bounded in iron through her arms, glaring at a wolf thing I think was suppose to be the patriarch in Cain. Whoever she was, she ripped her arms to pieces just to get at him, becoming some raptor thing in the process. The prehistoric kind not the bird kind. I think something new is starting to hunt Cain down now." The colonel explained, still not believing himself.

Krieg is obviously put off, but he doesnt have a look of comprehension.

 

"Ima join you talking to augustus....If you dont mind."

 

he says as he begins to walk.

 

"The thing with jacob.... Those mi9sts he made.. Could they be tied to this?"

"I want to say no....but seeing old Hefner....I think there's more than just a connection here." Aberga said, reminding krieg of the dead soldiers and war criminals they had seen come from the black fog that Cain's son had made. "And you don't have to worry about me saying yes or no about you coming along, that's for Augustus to really decide on now ain't it?" The commander said with a shrug, briefly slipping into the street accent that he picked up from Tina without realizing it, becoming a bit more relaxed now that his company was more in it's element.

krieg nods  and motions for the lizard to follow as he heads toward the white company camp, being lead to augustus who is sitting on a styump sipping coffee.

 

"Well met siege commander and krieg... How are you both doing."

 

he smiles and points to some sandwiches.

 

"Sit for a mintute."

Aberga took the offered seat, carefully as to make sure it could take his weight, and wolfed down a sandwich before he started. "...On the way here, me and Solgin, uh he's a silncer and a...shaman I think before that, had a vision on the way here. It started off in a cave with runes on the wall and iron spheres floating around. I saw a wolf, I think it was coreus, there was a red light and something like a Velociraptor but not the size of a chicken. Those two went at it. Then it just turned into this woman with red hair bound with iron rods going through her arms, mask over her face and a amber colored eye. Pretty sure she knew I was there, then she just broke free with the rods destroying her arms. Didn't seem to mind it either." he explained the whole vision he had seen, still remembering how she laughed after tearing her arms apart to be free.

AUgustus says with a wince, leaning back as he motions for krieg to sit.

 

"SHe is a chosen of a godlike being...... THink of her kinda like that gods nightmare.... If she is announcing herself like that.... We dont have alot of time."

 

krieg looks back at abrega and cocks his head.

 

"WHy did the furnace see her."

 

augustus sighs and shakes his head.

 

"Becasue she was standing where he was made....Part of his essence is contained there still."

"Hm, if I just heard you right, you implied Nightmare is a...champion? Avatar? of ANOTHER god. How many of these 'gods' are involved with our little war and what does the red headed one want with Coreus and Cain?" Aberga asked, seeing that there is an even bigger picture he might have to worry about that involved something he thought he would never have to worry about before, deities. "And why was she in the Pit too?" He asked as well. If she knew something like that, it made him wonder what else this woman knew and what the hell he was dealing with.

"About five or six... The god that she fights for... Or is emporered by is Nacht... The chaos born..The war eater... Cain... ANd i, are helpers of the goddess War . Senyo..THat woman you saw is a being made to halt cains progress... Like a counter.. an impaqssable wall made to halt him."

"Hm...if we saw that, then I would assume she's close to being completed and set loose." Aberga reasoned as he started thinking what they could do in preparation of her coming for Cain. "She can't be that unstoppable if she's being created to stop one specific individual, think she has a core like me or is something like her created in a different fashion?" he asked the two creators, wanting to better understand the threat that was posed to them.

augustus flicks his hand and a picture begins to draw itself into the gorund.

 

"She however..Is not an elemental..>SHe is an embodiment...YOu said she was a rpator right? and she had red hair? than she is the embodyment of carnage... Every confused tought..Every act of trench warfare.... SHe couldnt bemade from a core, she was made from mass slaughter."

When Augustus started listing the things that the woman was and the concepts she embodied, the commander couldn't but help look at the developing battlefield that was about to erupt once everything was in placed. "....Aw fucking hell." he said under his breath at the implication that she will probably know exactly where they are the moment this started, and maybe even become stronger for it and putting Cain an Coreus at an disadvantage. He returned his attention to Augustus. "Ok, first question. Does she get stronger every time those sort of events happen? And is she going to come straight here if I kick off the battle? Second, just how strong is she compared to Cain and the wolf right now?" he asked him.
