Thessa acts fast, reaching out and grabbing the back of her commanders suit, wrenching him backwards towards her.

he reacts with a start pinning her hands to the wall.

"Whaoh now.....lets not do anything hasty..."

he whispers, looking at her for a long moment before relaxing.

"sorry...he grunts, sitting down as he lets her wrists go."

he deadpans, pulling a canteen of water off his sides.

She pulls off her helmet, grabs the front of Horus's suit with her free hand and pulls him towards her, kissing him hard. She pulls back, looking into his eyes. "You need to focus Horus, or let me go ahead of you. You almost hit the trip wire lining that door."

he stands there frozen, and visibly you can see a heavy weight fall upon the commaanders shoulders. he leans forward int oyou, but only for a second before he turbns away and grumbles.

"rest...rest for a bit."

Thessa shakes her head with a smile. She moves back over to the kicked in door, listening. No need for someone to sneak up on them while they were...sorting things out. "Should of kept my mouth shut and focused on getting this done." she muttered to herself.

It takes several moments but soon you he4ar a loud hiss and the opening of horuses pack and moments later you hear a long snore draw into the night as he lays across a couch

Thessa turns fast, the hiss startling her, bringing her weapon up to attack. She berated herself for not watching both entrances.

She sees nothing. The door is undisturbed and Horus is reclining on a couch,


" mine the door and lets get some rest raissa,,.. You have to be exhausted."

"With us both asleep we risk being caught completely off guard. You need more rest than I do. I've been in healing tank for an unknown amount of time. Sleep, I will keep watch." She was weary, but it was no more than she remembered after a day of lost sleep.

The thought of sleep was nice but keeping guard seemed a much more reasonable option to her. 'I wonder if I used to think like this.' she thought to herself.

reaching overr to his pack horus grunts and hits a button,.

the pack turns into a crablke creature that walks to the door and considers it.


there is a loud clanging of metal and a projection of a door is put up.

"sleep...itll deter anything that could possibly go through it.....You need rest thess.....THats an order."

"Yes, sir." Thessa sighs and moves over to a table in the middle of the room surrounded by four rigid back wooden chairs. She sat down and began to tap her finger on the tabletop. She was tired, but in a sense of being fatigued. After the fights she had been through her old body would have been running on fumes. She stared at the pale skin of her hands

'This isn't me. It doesn't look like me, it doesn't feel like me. This is wrong. My past wasn't played out as this girl, but my future will be.' She sat there for a long moment, staring at her hands. 'I wonder if she wanted this.'

Thessa shook her head again and stood up. She walked over to a puffy love seat and flopped on it, draping her legs over one of the arms. She folded her arms over her chest and lightly closed her eyes with a sigh.

WIthout his armor you can see that his back is covered in wicked scars, the one catching your eye is a jagged rendition of the templar cross with a faint glow in the center. It pulses and throbs under his skin but it aseems to not bother him

Thessa stares at the scars, the pulsing light barely illuminating the dark room. She finds herself strangely drawn to it and stands up quietly, moving towards Horus. Her hand reaches out, softly touching the ridge of the scar, starting to trace the cross with her fingertip.

"What is it?" she asked softly.

He goes rid his for a moment, resisting every impulse in his body .


" it's a nuclear geode.... A remnant of and last stand... When they sent the nukes into the herds of the undead these geodes were made when they crystallized Ghoulbone ...something the order found long ago..."

Thessa steps away from him, turning her gaze. "It feels powerful..." She moved back over to the opening of the door, taking a deep breath of the night air. She stared at the building on the other side of the alley, a feeling of confusion stealing over her. Horus had said he did not care what she looked like, that she was still herself, but he flinched every time she touched him.

Did that make her herself or this girl whose body she controlled?

"What's the plan, sir?"

He slowly pulls the body pieces into place until he armoires again .

" I scouted while you slept... There is a small camp north of here in the library..... There's only about five of them .... It'll be an easy job."

As he pulls the chest piece into slot you notice the glowing orb feeds Ito an intricate pack.

" are you ready to go."

She walks over, picking up her fibroblade sword, twirling it for a moment in her hand. "I feel I'd be more comfortable with a staff, but yes I'm ready. What are they armed with? What is the layout of the library?"

he stands, drawing his heavy blade from the ground.


"Basic eqipment, some rifles, a couple vibro weapons."

He walks out side and the small chittering backpack creature that was projecting the illusion of the door jumps onto his back.

Circular wheel and poke pattern library...Nothing too hard.

"Call me suspicious but I have a feeling it won't be that easy." She followed him out of the door, watching the machine jump onto Horus's back. Thessa cocked her head to the side, staring at is curiously.

"What is it's name?"

"bargeren."

he answers simply, letting the pack fit itself.

"and ya, if i were them i would probably be in the basement with the rest of my forces.

He grips onto a fire escape ladder and hauls himself up it.

'Than again....it wouldnt be fun if it was easy."
