"Like I said," Thessa quickly drew her weapon, swinging in a wide arc at the ghoul. "Familiarity!!"

you are slammed into the wall, the ghouls jaws clamping down on your shoulder and trying to rip the arm out of its socket as you see horus growl, slamming one aside with a wicked backhand

Thessa grunts in pain. With a sharp jerk she brings the butt of her blade down with as much strength as possible, bashing into the skull of the ghoul.

The head caves in an the ghoul slumps into the murk as you hear a horrifying scream .

Freya is ripped open . Two ghouls ripping at her exposed organs as you see two ghouls coming up behind Horus. Fangs bared

Thessa rushed the ghouls that were ripping Freya open.

"Two on your six, Horus!" She kicked one of the ghouls in the head and as she made a full turn brought her sword down on the second one.

the kick sends one ghoul tumbling, but the other manages to sink its fangs into your forearm before horus clices its face from the rest of its skull, forcing it to relinquish its hold.

Micha is dragged into the murk and blood fills the water as furion is messily disembowel and you see Anubis tear himself free from the murk with a pained gasp..



Horus's eyes glow and he moves in blurs, striking the ggouls down as he motions at a manhole .

"GO NOW"

Thessa grabs Anubis by the arm and hauls him to his feet, shoving him in front of her. She looks around to make sure the other members are safe on their way to the ladder of the manhole.

"Don't take too long Horus." She turned and ran to the ladder and started her climb up.

the squad manage to get up the rungs in time and suddenly a massive wave of heat blasts our from the manhole.


An odd smell settles in the air, and the survivng squadmates try to gather their breaths.

"Thess...are you ok.."

anubis asks, helping her up

She shakes her head letting out a snort. "Just a bite. It tried to take my shoulder clean off." Thessa looked down the manhole. "What the hell happened? That didn't feel like a coincidence to me."

She looked back to Anubis. "What about you? Any injuries?"

Anubis watches the manhole.

"This is bad.....Horus is losing his grip...."

The other squadmates turn as if annoyed and grab anubis by the scruff.

"Enough Nub!"

Buran growls.

"We already lost one...YOur not reopening this wound now!"

Thessa growls and pushes them apart roughly. "Enough, both of you! You two have a problem with each other deal with it when we don't need our wits. We'll give Horus two more minutes. If he isn't up here by then we need to move. If he doesn't win we will be swarmed. Who knows where we are headed?"

She looked at the manhole again with a slight grimace. "Clean and dress any wounds as best you can while we wait. Keep an eye and ear out." Thessa sat down a few feet from the manhole and started attending to her shoulder. With a hard yank she rips off the sleeve of the bodysuit, tearing off chunks of shredded pieces and pulling them out of the bite. She listens to the sounds coming from the sewer.

Below ytou hear snapping and breaking of bones, and soon enough everything goes silent.

you treat your arm as best as you can and take in your surroundings.

YOu are in an old squatter town, nothing is atround yoyu for miles, but soon enough you notice an ominous glow below and soone enough, horus comes into view, climbing the rungs of the ladder.

Thessa stared at Horus with curiosity. What caused that glow? "You look like hell Horus." she said quietly, her voice lighter. She went to stand but stops when a wave of dizzyness hits her. The blood loss was starting to affect her and she personally didn't have anything to dress her wound.

horus puts his hand over the wound and searing pain fills her as it is burned closed by a simple touch.

"Squad....FOrm up."

he growls, taking his hand off of you

Thessa pulls herself up, still fighting off the dizzyness. She moved to her place in the squad formation and stood at attention, waiting for directions.

WIthout missing a beat horus pushes past and growls.

"The other squad is dead....We have to continue to the next objective....If we dont were dead."

Anubis growls and forms up.

"Of course Quotzal failed....His whole squad was rejects."

Thessa followed in silence for a bit. Something felt off. Buran, Josef, Hural, and Odin...they had no injuries, like they hadn't been attacked. She shifts her eyes from member to member, watching their body movements.

horuses movements are hindred, obviously in alot of pain. As are anubises. But the others are remarkably unharmed, some are idly fiddling with knives.

"YOu know horus....."

Anubis growls in pain.

"We got fucked up....Bad."

Thessa stops walking for a moment, her eyes narrowing. Without a second thought she rushes up to the front, kicking Buran in the side of the knee. With the rest of her momentum, she grabbed him and twisted with him so he was facing the rest of the men in the back and she stood behind him. She wrenched his helmet from his head and brought her blade to his throat.

"Where's the next ambush you traitorous bastard?"
