[Prosperan Son]

Kyra's did not respond, simply sitting down at the bench once more. His mind returned to the situation at hand. Nessa. There was not much sound, the electrical equipment used at the earlier stage of the procedure, not longer operating. It was almost done.

"What are we going to do first when we are gut to leave sir?" he asked Kyras. It was his turn to try to help get through the waiting period they were going through before they could see Nessa after the surgery.

[Prosperan Son]

"Once all this is done, we're going to have to spend the next couple of weeks for Physical rehab. Especially Nessa with her new augmetics..." The Inquisitor answered, looking towards Krauss and patting him on the shoulder " Then we need to assemble a new team and resume the hunt."

Krauss nodded in agreement with Kyras plan, knowing he would already have one before he even asked. "I'm going to need a new shotgun." he said with a sad smirk. His other shotgun was with him since the Inquisitor found him on that sieged planet.

"Worry not Krauss, we'll get you re-equipped in no time. "Kyra's assured, patting his back. He knew how sentimental was about the old weapon. "It will be easy enough to requisition some new equipment and troopers, but requisitioning another Astartes from the Templars will be head ache that I am not looking forward too."

Krauss had a worry frow upon his features now. "They won't be happy when they find out that the chaos Lord took his helm and sword." he said to him as he leaned back into the chair. "Or if they know what I did, even if it was an accident." he added, remembering what the hotshot laspistol.

"You bring to much guilt upon yourself Krauss, what happened there wasn't your fault."Kyra's tried to comfort him." Hopefully, they'll be in a negotiable mood...but given that they're Templars...."He didn't finish. There was no reason to. Templar's were not the most prudent when it came to this sort of thing.

"They would atleast want his body back, if for only ceremonial purposes now." he said, not sure if the black templar's have such a thing. He knew all chapter had a different traditions and he knew very little of them. "We atleast got his body, right?" he asked, the weight of the an astartes in power armor would make any transfer no small task.

"Indeed, the remains are in stasis now so as to prevent them from decay. From what I can tell, and it's not much, the precious gene-seed was still in a good state, so maybe they'll cut us a break." Kyras reasoned, trying to imagine a way to appease the Templars.

""Ahm.." The doctor interrupted both of them." We've just about finished up. The good news is that the operation was a success."He informed them both.

Krauss looked up to the doctor with an expression of relief on his face. "How long will she be out?" he asked the doctor, wondering just how much she really went through during the operation.

[Prosperan Son]

"As you can imagine, without anesthetics, the pain she went through was on an immense scale, we can only imagine what she was going through. We don't know how long she'll be out, but we speculate it's going to be a couple of days. "The doctor explained, opening the door to the operating room. The floor and tables were covered in blood, but Nessa lay across the table, her new augmetic right arm resting against the table. Her left shoulder, now completely augmetic as well, glinted in the light of the room.

His heart sank at the sight of so much of her blood on the floor. He tried to remember that he doctor said it was a success, but it was hard to think so with the scene, eve with the augmetics shining in the light of the overhead operator lamps. He only nodded absently as he looked at her, not sure if it was safe to go to her side or not, just to simply be there.

One of the poor nurses was lifting was stuck with the filthy job of cleaning up the "left overs". Krauss could see the nurse, lifting the amputated arm of Nessa, and collected the bone matter from her shoulder. It was a horrid sight as she was preparing to send them into a furnace for disposal.

He knew he shouldn't be affected by seeing this sort of sight, especially after being apart mass infantry charges into fortified trenches. But this was different to him and he wished he had his gasmask to hide that fact right now. He hope that they would move her out of the red stained room soon, he felt worthless sitting here not able to do anything right now.

"Well then..."The doctor stepped in front of Krauss, obscuring his view of the room." Now that the procedure is complete, we'll need to take care of the rest and have her cleaned. You two need to head back to your rooms and Inquisitor, I'll need to check on you later as well" He informed them both.

Kyras bowed in thanks" You have our gratitude for saving our friend."

With the doctor now in his view, krauss was finally able to take his attention away from the scene. "Danke doktor." he thanked him sincerly as he bowed his own head. Although he felt somewhat reluctant to actually wheel away right now for obvious reasons. Kyras would probably just wheel him out if he didn't move soon enough anyways.

"Come now Krauss, we better head out. We've got our work cut out for us in the coming days." Kyras whispered, taking hold of Krauss's handle bars and wheeling him back to his room...

Six Years Later, Trandasin System, Aboard the Emperor-Class Grand Cruiser, Heart of Heracles, orbiting over Trandasin I, better known as Eden

"Come along Krauss, we're going to be late for the meeting, Our works finally paying off." Nessa tapped at Krauss shoulders, the Storm Trooper apparently having slept for the last eight hours, remembering the "incident". Nessa nudged his shoulder once more with her not so new bionic hand.

Krauss's eyes open behind the black skull faceplated gasmask, now in his uniform with trench coat and not in a wheelchair this time. He disliked having these kinds of nights, or what passed for nights. "Guten tag to you as well. " he said with a smile to her as he stood up and stretched. "We should get going then, Ja?" he asked as he slinged his shotgun over his shoulder, letting her lead the way.

"You should stop sleeping with that mask over your head all the time, one of these days, somethings going to go wrong and you'll suffocate." She warned him, walking with him side by side, her own helmet tucked beneath her left arm. Unhelmeted,her long smooth and straightened black hair ran down the length of her shoulders, she was beautiful.

"Call it a force of habit." He said with a smirk as he shrugged. Though he preferred wearing his mask and helmet himself, it was nice to see her unhelmed as she walked about. "Other than that, how are you?" he asked her. It was a question he always asked, more worried about her sake than his.
