[Prosperan Son]

She was motionless and if not for the breathing in her chest, she could have been mistaken for dead. So pale was she and frail was she, that she gave off the appearance of a fresh corpse, which was quite ironic considering she primarily used a flamer, one would assume she would be darker.

The strong willed warrior that had parried the strike that had almost ended his life, was now but a fraction of what she once was.

He sat in the wheelchair, now visiably sad as he look upon her physical state now. He sighed to himself. He felt a great deal measure of guilt, thinking he could, should, have done more in the fight. "I'm sorry." he said quietly to Nessa, now simply praying the Emperor that he spare this one.

The room remained silent and some time passed as Krauss sat at her side. It had been over forty-five minutes when Nessa started to stir a bit. She mumbled a few incoherent words, sweat forming over her forehead.

Krauss snapped back to attention when he heard her stir, almost falling asleep in the wheelchair before that. "Nessa?" he said, wondering what was going on now. "Nessa?" he asked louder to maybe wake her up from what looked like a nightmare. He clicked on the button on the side of the bed that the nurse pointed out earlier. He didn't know if this was medical or not but he wasn't going to take a chance either when it came to her.

She rustled a bit more in her sleep, unable to move much due to the restraints around her arms from keeping her from moving them, lest she cause any damage by accident alone. "Kyras....Tellius...."She tried to recall the name of the voice she heard"...Krauss?" She asked, her eyes slowly opening for the first time in days.

He was suprised and relieved that it was just her waking up. "Hallo, welcome back Nessa." he greeted her with a thankful smile. "Don't move too much. Don't want to worsen the injuries." he advised her, even though the restraints where doing a good job so far.

She tried to sit up, but the tiniest movement of her arms caused her to wince in pain. She turned her head from side to side, taking in the surroundings and the wrappings around her arms." What happened?"Was the first question asked, unable to recall anything immediately, the next question that came to mind was more simple" Where is Inquisitor Kyras?"

[Armoured Priest]

"Some of the forces that surrounded the palace where able to get to us in time." he told her, remembering the vox chatter during the fight with the chaos lord. "The Inquisitor went to try to get my trench coat of storage, but that has been awhile now." he answered, starting to wonder now. Surely he didn't run into trouble in this hospital, right? He was quiet for a moment before he spoke agian. "How do you feel?" he asked her.

[Prosperan Son]

"I've had better days Krauss...."She answered with a faint smile, seeing the guilt on his face. She turned her head from side to side, taking note of the restraints on her arms. She looked back at the storm trooper."Would you move my hair out of my face...I'd do it myself but you know...."She asked with a painful smirk.

[Armoured Priest]

He smiled and nodded as he leaned forward, ignoring the pain of his ribs becoming a lot easier all of a sudden. He gently moves the her hair away from her face for her to where it would less likely do so later on. "How's that?" he asked once he was done. He was starting to feel a little better himself with her awake and being herself now.

[Prosperan Son]

"Much better, that was going to drive me crazy..."She thanked him with a comforting smile. She watched him carefully, noticing his sluggish movement." And how are you feeling exactly?"She asked with concern, ironic given her current state.

[Armoured Priest]

Sat back in the wheel chair as he thought how to reply to the question. He was more worried about her than himself right now. "It could be better, but it could be worse too." He shrugged, an action he immediatly regretted in doing now as a part of him wanted to cringe.

[Prosperan Son]

"Yes, well I think that the feeling might be mutual." Nessa laughed but soon started to cough in pain, chest heaving. The fit lasted for only a few moments before she was back to breathing properly, albeit slower. She laid back against her pillow, closing her eyes once more.

The look of concern reappeared on his features when she started coughing and stayed even after she stopped. "Go ahead and rest for now, you need it." He said to her. He put his pale hand on hers now. "I'll be here." he assured her. He was even thinking of how to stay close even when they take her to surgery, at least stay close to the doors of the operating room.

She had already faded into unconsciousness once more before even being able to hear Krauss words.Her skin was deathly cold, but then again it had always seemed that way. She laid there unmoving once more, reminding Krauss of what Malbogia had done to them.

Krauss sat there quietly and still held her hand as he shook his head, the memories still plauging him. "I'm sorry." he said silently once more. The Krieger sat in his silent vigilance over her, not wanting any more harm to come on her.

There was a knock at the door, Kyras standing at the doorway. Krauss's overcoat was in his left arm."It wasn't your fault, you know." The Inquisitor council, not wanting the Storm Trooper to feel disheartened. " And she wouldn't want you take in the guilt."

Krauss looked up and behind him when heard Kyras talk to him. He would not doubt that Kyras already figured out Krauss's attachement to Nessa during the years of service they had under him, afterall he is an Inquisitor. "I know sir." he said as he turned the wheel chair so he could talk to him easier and still look over the sorotias. "But I do not think I can reason it away so simply either." he also said. He looked at the coat then to him. "Had trouble?" he asked, now remembering the amount of time Kyras was gone.

"I ran into the the doctor who had treated the three of us after that disaster of an ambush..."Kyras began , scratching the back of his head as he walked over to Krauss and handing him the coat."I asked him how long it would be before her surgery, and received some rather ill news. that caused an argument...."He left it unfinished, looking towards Nessa with a concerned look of his own.

He didn't like the way he was acting now, nor what is now possibly being implied . He took his trench coat before he asked the his obvious queston. "Sir. What did he say?" He asked kyras, already tensing up for the answer.
