Lorundil will need to tell the local authority of the situation. This could make him a suspect but the local authority will be needed for justice.

Lorundil ran off to find a guard who was on duty locally.
"Excuse. There has been a murder at a local hay barn." Spoke Lorundil quietly not to drawn attention to himself or the guard.

The Guard turns to him. "A murder! Take me to the scene." his tone hushed but reflecting Lorundil's own urgency.

"Follow me then. I did a little investigation previous and I know the victim. I can give you some of the information about him. Be warned he has a grievous cut across his throat which must have been done by a high class sharp weapon." Spoke Lorundil as he travelled at a faster pace to get to the Barn before anyone else entered.

The barn was as he left it. His traveling companion still laid where he had left him. The guard surveyed the scene. "Not to point out the obvious but he is naked and all his clothes seem accounted for. Do you know why this is?"

"Well when I asked the Inn Keeper if he had seen Flick he said that he saw Flick leave with a woman named Gesel. The Inn Keeper made it sound like she was a woman for hire. If you follow what I am saying with that. I think that is why Flick is naked with his clothes here. I can't be sure as this is only what the Inn Keeper told me." Spoke Lorundil as he looked at the clothes nearby and did another quick look around.

Lorundil finds nothing else of interest.

"Yes I've heard of Gesel. I have had a few dealings with her... in a purly law enforcement capacity you understand?" he adds quickly. " I shall question her at once. Thankyou citizen for your information. You will be staying in town for a little while I take it to deal with your companions last wishes?"

"I was going to be here for a while just to earn some gold but now that Flick is gone I intend to find who is responsible for it. Other people who could be involved might be the Inn Keeper as he was the last person to see the two together. I will need to go to Heldegrad to inform the blacksmith who Flick was to be employed with." Spoke Lorundil with sad expressions clinging to his face.

"Before I go is there anyway I can assist with the investigation?" Asked Lorundil to the Guard.

"Well I am going to have to report this. If you could be back at the inn in the next hour or two then someone I'm sure will come talk to you."

"I will give as much help as needed. Thank you." Said Lorundil as he walked off to the Inn.

Lorundil knew the guard thought that Lorundil was just as much a suspect as the others but still to prove his own innocence Lorundil decided to stay in the Inn till the guard came.

The inn was strangley quiet after the night before. A couple of the towns regular patrons still dominated 'their' corner. Each talking quietly amongst themselves. As Lorundill entered a hush filled the air. "Ah master ranger," the bar man called out. "Did you find your fine magical fellow?"

Lorundil walked up to the bar in silence. He then sat at the end of the bar then quietly spoke "I did. He was where you said he was. He was alone. He did have less than he came with. He had his life taken from him." Lorundil's face had a collision of sorrow and rage within his face.

"I'm sorry to hear that friend." He slides over a tankard of what smells like strong ale. "Here, on the house."

He leaves Lorundil to his drink and continues about his duties.

After a couple of hours the bar tenders voice captures your attention. "Did you hear me lad? Gesel just came in with a gentleman friend." He nods over to the far side of the bar where a woman in her early 20's stands beside a bald headed man in heavy leathers. "I don't want any trouble in here do you understand?" His eyes regard Lor closely.

"Oh. Thank you, I'll try to avoid any conflict. Also thanks for that one on the house." Spoke Lorundil getting up with a slight groan as if he had been sat there for much longer than a few hours.

Lorundil casually walked over Gesel without trying to draw attention to himself. As Lorundil moved close enough to Gesel to speak without drawing much attention from surrounding patrons.

"Excuse me, Gesel is it?" Asked Lorundil.

She turns slightly to face you and looks you over. "Who wants to know?" her voice honey'd. The male companion barely looks sideways at you.

"My name is Lorundil, I was traveling with a friend named Flick a few days ago until when we arrived here. He's been gone for a while now and I was wondering if you knew where you last saw him or if he said where he was going. I only ask you because you were the last person Flick was seen with." Asked Lorundil calmly.

She looks him over again as if assessing something. "Sorry Darlin' but not many fine gents such as yourself tell me their names on account of their marital status's an all."

At that the man she is with turns to face you.
"Look pal, if your done with all ya questions why don't ya fuck off and leave her alone?"

"Well that is understandable but I could describe Flick to you. He was only seen with you about a night ago. It is of the highest importance I know where he is." Spoke Lorundil with a hint of urgency.

Gesel looks down to the floor as the bald headed gent gets between you both. His finger poking as your chest. "Hey! are you deaf? I said beat it!"

Lorundil notices others people being drawn as the bald man raised his voice.

"I'm sorry I was only asking some questions. If you want me to leave you just have to say, sorry for the disruption Gesel. I hope you have an eventful day." Spoke Lorundil at the same volume as before not wanting to draw attention of the Bar Tender or other patrons.

Lorundil walked away from the bald man and Gesel back to the Bar Tender.

"Hey, Bar Tender what is the deal with the bald man with Gesel?"
