Do any of GC play space marine? Because this is me trying to do something for the players in the game not for gothicwars not for anything but having fun with the small community that we have. I made this thread with the thought it would spread the word quicker and maybe get some old players a reason to start playing again.

And it seems like complete waste of time as most people seemed interested but didn't have numbers or chapter masters said no over petty stuff

That would sound about right; that's why I stopped organizing tournaments and a part of why both Spec and Keiya had difficulties as well.

 

I was/am working on a tournament idea for SM that doesn't rely on chapters, but individuals. If you want I'll dig it out and let you see what I had, the community might be able to run with it - not finished, really was just a proposal I was starting to craft into something.

I think "Crucias" trying to run it trumps a Dark Angel Gawd the amount of grief I used to get was phenomenal. It might be better to get a few people to run it as a committee, each from a different chapter - won't fully cut the petty grief out, but it'll dilute it a lot.

As I said my group can field five and are interested. We've only just started up so obviously we aren't huge and the recruitment pool is fairly shallow. I also asked the two individuals I said i'd try twisting the arms of that you mentioned about it but pretty much got a polite and elaborate message back that boiled down to a kind "no fucking way."

I don't think many of the GC play Space Marine anymore, 1 or 2 might.

Thanks for trying fuzz I don't see why they wouldn't it is a great chance to make friends with people in other chapters they don't get on with one person so they sit and say no chance

I've set up this thread on EC, to try and generate interest in doing a tourney. I though this thread might be a good place to post the link.

Firstly, I'm just looking to gauge interest, if there is enough, I will start planning a tourney. ;-)
