Raissa walked back over, setting a large handful of twigs near the fire. "Ghouls and humans aren't meant to assimilate. The tissues reject each other, just like they are doing in Krausus, and unless they've created a cheap, long term stabilizer that I don't know about, there's more to your studies that you aren't telling me." She took one long, last drag of the cigarette, throwing the butt into the fire. Her thoughts turned as she watched the soup start to bubble.

 

"How did they come back...What organ that I transplanted brought them back from the dead.....?"

"But how? I've been to some of the old world labs, they were either ransacked to bare walls or completely destroyed. Where was it? Who found it?" She shifted in closer to the fire, feeling the cold biting through her clothes. "What did you do to it?"

"YOu went to an old world lab that was ransacked. The labs i speak of are in the artic...Barely touched. We subjected the egg to intense sttimulation with esp waves...It birthed cyrus. We then took luciannas womb to culture it...She wanted the leave for 9 months anyway."

Raissa suddenly checked herself. Her excitement had thrown her off topic. "So where did Krausus come into the equation? And if Cyrus was born from a pure embryo...why does he seem like a ghoul?"
