Thessa looked at Odin. "Is he fucking crazy? They'll recognize me instantly."

 a figure stands from behind a wall.

 

HIs bodysuit is jet black and the face is the jokers death mask.

 

"Thessa.....Meet Skarn....Skarn...Meet thessa."

 

the figure nods slowly.

 

"YOure the one who called down the art strike on wild card........Its good to finally meet you."

"I do not see the good in it." Thessa held herself guarded against the newcomer. The mask sent a sick feeling of anger into the pit of her stomach. "A lot was lost that day. A lot is still being lost because of that day. I'm guessing however that you will be helping me with this insane task." She looking over her shoulder in the direction that Horus and Anubis had disappeared in.

 

"How long do we have, Odin?"

Long enough for horus to kill anubis or send him on atask that will remove him from the squad.
 

Odin grunts as he looks at skarn.
 

 

His mask is pushed up revealing bright blue eyes.

 

"My squad lost its honor....I will do waht i can to reclaim it."

For a brief moment, Thessa is visibly startled by the mans eyes, but quickly composes herself. "With eyes like those, you could be this woman's brother." She straightened slightly, becoming a little less defensive now that she could see the mans face.

 

"Skarn, was it? What have you gotten so far from the Godsla...the Wild Cards and what is it we are going to be doing?"

The color of his bodysuit changes and quickly mimics the Templar colors .


" once Anubis is gone I will come back with you as a " lost ". Squad mate. From there I will feed information into your data bank of a gods layer operation overseas."

"So we just...wait?" She gave the men a scornful sneer. "Right, so very productive." Thessa took a deep breath. "Idle hands are the devil's playthings as they say, so feel free to chat, babysit me like a hawk, or whatever else suits your fancy. I'm going to do something useful and refresh my memory on tracking."

There's a loud gunshot and grouses mic bead goes live.


" nub is hunting a silencer dominus. Go get to the extraction point ."

His voice does as you notice a red dot movig along the floor up odins leg and up toward his head ....

"Shit!" Thessa barreled at Odin, tackling him hard over the wall Skarn had been hiding behind. "Sniper!"

[Thugren]

the shot rips the wall, and detonates, a fireburst round.

 

Skarn vanishes from view as you see the sight tracing the ground, searching for more targets.

 

"pin the prey down...and flank it."

 

odin grunts, pointing to an alleyway .

 

"Go dark and wauit, ill trade shots with the rookie.

"Tch..." The annoyed sound came from her throat, but she fiddled with the setting on her suit, disappearing from sight. She put a hand on Odin's shoulder. "Don't do anything stupid." Thessa took off down the alley, keeping her eyes and ears open, looking for an alcove where she could catch her breath and assess the situation.

You see the sniper

He is huddled down in what looks like an old produce stand.

A shot rips down the street right past you as you see Odin roll past, drawing the mans fire

Thessa looked around for a clear path, trying to find a way to get behind the sniper.

You see the only safe way to get to him is to run a trench way that runs perpendicular to the shop

As you love over to it you notice several ghouls milling side to side obliviously to your presence

Thessa pulls out her blade and jumps down on the ghoul just below her, quickly slicing sideways as her blade dug in a wide arc to swing at one of the other ghouls nearby.

your blow goes wild, misjudging the distance and actual arc of the blade and one of the undead snarl in fury at the start, lashing out with its arm at the weight and sending you tumbling down the sewage pipe

"Shit..." Thessa pushed herself back up and rushed the ghoul, aiming a vicious stab at it's gut.

the blade thuds home, making the undead grunt in pain but its eyes look up at you, pale and unmoving before it rears back and buries its teeth in your forearm viciously.

Thessa clenched her teeth, quieting her pain to a grunt. Mentally berating herself for her stupidity, she gripped hard under the ghouls bottom jaw with her free hand. Taking a deep breath, she twisted its head sharply to break its neck.

the ghoul goes limp, falling to the door with a hard thud.

 

As you insopect the wound you see that it isnt as bad as it could be, but stitched and a heavy antiseptic would be needed soon. Seeing their comrade fall the undead down the pipe begin shambling towatrd their fallen friend.

 

To your right you see waht looks like a sewer pipe that leads directly under the snipers shooters nest.
