noctises jaw snmaps open obscenely, revealing two massive fangs as a large flayer slams into the omniarch hard, carrying him into a de4relict shop.

 

a figure emerges from the shadows, its eyes glowing balefully as it hisses.

 

"old one......You are here..."

Varkanis looked back into the cloud of dust and wooden debris before turning his head back to the set of glowing eyes. "I am guessing that really necessary?"  He asked pointing his staff in the ensuing melee. "It's been awhile Nashgara, so......how have you been?" he asked him. He doubted the flayer would stand much of a chance against noctis, so his main worry was the reaper standing infront of him.

The reaper watches as noctus rips the falters arms free and motions at the necromancer.

" I've been better... I've done all I can to keep nocturnes men out of the cities walls.... But I can only do so much ."

[Armoured Priest]

"I kind of thought so as we neared the city on the outside." Varkanis said, referencing the sight the group saw earlier. The old necromancer looked around them, the market stalls made of rotting wood, the debris and sun bleached bones that litter on the path ways, and the rubble piles of where buildings once stood almost deterred from asking his next question. "How far gone is this city?" he asked the reaper ghoul. There would be no realistic way to retake the city he knew, but it was his city, and old memories are hard to lay down.

[Thugren]

the ghoul looks at the city sadly.

 

"Old friend,....It would be better to let it die...Than retake it and risk seeing waht the humans have done.."

 

he watches as noct stomps on the flayers skull with a loud snap growling

"Well that make the next question to you somewhat more easy to ask then." Varkanis said as he shook off a few pieces of gore that landed upon him. "Ready to leave? You did more then one could ever ask of, and I don't think leaving you here is a fate you deserve now would it?" He asked him. "Especially with nightmare running about." he added.

[Thugren]

The reaper loosk around tiredly, his haggard face saying waht he didnt wish he had to.

 

"Lets go varkanas....We slept and let the world fall...THat damn she bitch betrayed us...And nopw something as bad as nightmare is awakening."

[Armoured Priest]

Varkanis raised a brow in confusion from behind his bone mask at the last few words from Nashgara. "The only thing I been hearing about since I awoken is about nightmare, who else has awakened now?" he asked him, now wondering why he hasn't felt the other presence if it is as strong as nightmare.

he looks at you silently, his face devoid of any emotion.

 

"The Necrowyrm is awake.......The humans made it."

[Armoured Priest]

His hand reached under the bone mask and pinched the bridge of his nose before exhaling a sigh. "Oh, joy, as if there wasn't enough problems in the world." Varkanis said as he shook his head. "Hey everybody, lets make an undead dragon that we probably have no idea of how to handle and or barely make properly." he said in a mocking tone, wanting to bash his staff on the skull of whoever said something familiar to those lines. "......Where is the necrowyrm?" he asked Nashgara.

The reaper looks at you and blinks twice.

 

"varkanas ...You are reasonably intelligent...If i have been here since you slept....What makes you think i know where the damnable thing is?"

[Armoured Priest]

"Like you said, I'm the one that's been asleep, you're the one that's been awake and around the living and hear about things, remember?" he said to him, tapping on the cap of his skull cap with a bone gauntlet finger in jest gesture. "If you heard about the wrym, I just wanted to know if you heard where it might be." he also added.

he shakes his head slowly.

 

"never left the walls .....ID guess it would be in that upstart damions hands....Or running trampant amoung the chinese lands."

[Armoured Priest]

"Hmph, either possibility is not comforting. Especially if Damion has his bratty little hands on it." Varkanis said with a slight tone of disgust. " We won't do much good being here though with nothing to here left to really salvage, best to leave and let the desert take these lands back." he said as he stood back up with the aid of his staff before starting back on the roadway Him and noctis used when they entered the city.

the groyup follows you and you find the deathnid violently jabbing a snarler ghoul into thwe sand

"Hurry and finish playing with your friend, we have a long ways to the next sign of civilization and I rather leave here before Nocturne decide to send something or another." He said, urging for the deathnid to finish off the rather mauled snarler creature that must have tried to attack the nid for food. "Actually were would be the next best place to go to." he wondered as he scratched his head under the bone mask. Surely the area hasn't changed that much in the centuries he had slept......right?

[Thugren]

"noctis growls, folding his arms.

 

"there is one more you need.....but we will have to travel into the desert for her."

Varkanis looked over to the wolf like patriarch with a raised brow as he sat on the back plate of the massive deathnid. "I hope you go a little deeper then that one line about whoever this 'she' is, considering going IN to the Sahara is normally not a great idea under normal circumstances." he said to noctis.

[Thugren]

I could go into more detail ... But for that I'm not."

He growls jumping onto the death nods back after grabbing four skins of water.

" see what yor sarcasm gets you?"

The reaper rolls his eyes as he settles on the top of the death nods tail .

"There's a difference between sarcasm, and not wanting to go into death's sandbox without a good reason." He grumbled as he rubbed his eyes in frustration. "Is this because I haven't petted you yet? He asked. "Cause I'll do it right now if that means you won't be grouchy." he said with a smirk. "So, to the desert we go, to get a girl I have no idea about, sounds great." he said as he laid his staff across his lap and rest his chin on his hands, expecting a long trip.
