SM CM Reshuffle

Just a quick note that REAPER xDAx is stepping down from SM CM, and planning on taking a short sabbatical from the community. Spec of the Deathwatch has asked and been confirmed by vote to take his place.
REAPERs worked hard in his position and done well, it's sad to see him depart from it. He's stepping down and out due to him receiving prolonged grief in this position. Just to do him some justice here, there was a complaint lodged against him that was found to be fruitless; however it did contribute to him requiring a breather. As someone who gets hassled excessively I can certainly understand and envy him his break; if I were to take a break this damn place would be overrun by bronies!
Spec comes in at a good time, he's not inheriting the remains of an existing tournament because Army of Two ends this weekend; therefore he can start with new ideas immediately. It'll be his call what the next SM tournaments will be, so stay tuned (but knowing him it'll probably involve violence and excessive amounts of alcohol).
Later,
Cru

I don't think Farther's For Justice will allow you in the protest where you will be running around on a really high roof while pissed off your face

I love this community and have spent the last month heavily promoting recruiting for it. However, I've grown tired of the culture and attitude being that some are adopting/accepting here, and even more so of speaking out to fix it. I can only Hope that such a sad and regrettable event serves to illuminate those here and this loss is not in vain.
Congrats, and more over thank you to spec for taking up the mantle. In addition to wishing you luck, I will gladly give you what ever help you may need.

May as well drop this here as a reminder for everyone: If members cause you grief add them to the ignore list and it'll hide their posts and stop their PMs, if there's a group that cause you grief just stop interacting with them.

Mongo, there's nothing wrong with the overall culture and attitude here, it's cruisy and generates tons of laughs; as always the problems are/were caused by a few, not the many. However I will agree there's an issue with people voicing their emotions instead of their opinions in debates such as the infamous glitch/hack threads; but you get that anywhere, from internet forums to conference rooms.

My apologies cru, and I've clarified my statement.
Most importantly cru is absolutely correct, in both points.
The is an amazing community that as a whole is a large part of many of our lives, mine included.
And, if you are displeased with someone's actions, there is no better way of handling it.
My apologies again for my poor choice in wording...

Check out the app called Verge I Created: http://goo.gl/OFW1yl. It's only for android now, but will be out for iPhone in the near future!
It essentially allows you to share your location with your friends, family, coworkers, etc through a group in the app. You can find everyone in your group's location by pressing a button (assuming they respond to the request), and plot it on a map. From there you are given a point that is equidistant from everyone. With this you can find a place to search for and meet up and send this location to everyone in your group telling them thats where you want to meet. There's no need to enter any addresses, and all you need to do is click a few buttons.

And I hope Reaper returns after his breather, he's been an awesome community manager from what I've seen. And it's sad to see some people have been harassing him after he selflessly hosted tournament for them.

Don't turn this into a flame war.

Back on topic guys. Community manager stuff. Congrats Spec, hope Reaper returns sooner rather than later.
