[Thugren]

you manage to lose the beast in the conduit of tunnels, but you can hear it slamming through the tunnels behind you.

suddenly you smell fresh air, and as you turen a corner you can see the light and your commanders men in the distance

Asura takes a deep breath and then begins to run to the commander. He then activates his radio "sir i am near your position there is some ... beast chasing me have the guns ready. What is the plan of action here the raid has gone to hell what now?"

[Thugren]

"we managed to secure the elder."

hje radios back as the men form up making a firing line.

"do you have any information on the thing chasing you?"

There is a loud roar and a shadow can be seen loping from the sewer you jsut came from.

Asura begins to run faster fear giving his legs the motivation to push there limit. He radios back to the commander. "its huge sir, and it is running straight for me you may need some heavy weapons it can tear apart my armour like paper it destroyed my squad"

the beast shatters from the entrance and a hail of fire greets it. The heavy solid slugs do nothing to its impossibly thick hide and soon enough its amoung your brothers rip and tearing.


Soon enough you hear a blip on your screen.


"Mark it! "

you hear a voice scream in your helm as a pounch on your suit opens exposing a slare gun like weapon.

"Mark it for artillery!"

Asura takes the weapon and tries to mark it with his shaking hands

Asura then responds "its marked up fire at that thing now"

it fires a dart into the creature and begins to blink.

your armor chimes and a birght red word appears before your eyes as a low whistling can be heard.

"GET DOWN"

Asura gets down as fast as he is able and expects the worst to happen with multiple scenarios passing through his mind

the earth thunders and you feel as if a titans hammer hit the earth. you are flung too and fro, screams fills the air and dirt rains down as the purgation artillery strike hammers the earth with incredible force.


it feels as if it takes an eternity, but soon all goes silent. You look up and see that hte beast is still standing. Ragged and bleeding, but defiant after the strike.

"kill.."

it grunts, lookign at you before it starts a weak charge.

"kill!:"

Asura looks with horror in his eyes as the creature charges at him. He reaches for the closest weapon his shivering hands could grasp and raised it to fire at the beasts head.

the shot slams home and the beast falls to the floro twitching.

the remaiming sqwuad rallies up behind you as a communication bead clicks to life on your hud.

"open...?"

a voice chimes questioningly

Asura looks confused and replies "repeat their maybe some interferance the creature is dead". He looks at the beast with a worried look on his face then he returns to the team looking for the leader.

You find the commander as a bloodie paste on the ground and finally the radio clears.

" tango down... Acknowledged saint. We have need of you on the frontline can you assist or have you suffered too many deaths?"

[Lord Ariok]

Asura looked at his comrades and his heart sank at the remaining number. His eyes still blood red through the damned gene defect

"right we have a raid to assist and i am going in if you feel you are still able fight feel free to come with me if you have sustained to much damage then return to base"

Asura then turns around and follows the beacon from the last transmision and responds

"I am coming to assist my squad as far as i know are undecided but i will assist any way possible"

yhou manage to get back to the battle field, but what you see disturbs you.

The undead are already swarming, slavering flayers are charging the tattered remnants of your forces as they try to guide a chained rail car to their line.


"asura we need you to run guard on the pod...If you fail this whole operation is bust...MOVE NOW."

in an instant Asura began moving to his position as fast as he could. He was shocked at the number of undead but was still focused on his position. He raised his weapon and began firing blindly into the horde

your shots rip into the shambling mass but you draw their attention.

At the center you can see a wild gnarler. (Imagine an ape like ghoul with rows of teeth and massive hooked fingers.) Starting at you.

As you draw near it lets out a furious roar and flings itsef at you, beating its fists agaisnt its chest
