It appeared to be a cannibal. They devour dead things nearby and add their armor to themselves.
However, that was epic. The CGI was so good. Also, I hope we get the hover tank and not that fucking wheeled one again

we already saw the cannibals in the demo, these things in the trailer look the size of elcor and something larger!

I hope we get the option each had its own Strength's and weakness's Hammerhead(hover tank) would be great for all terrain combat but I'd rather have the mako(fucking wheeled one) for any in city fighting so long as we could use the road system.

I know you said you were thinking about playing ME3. If you decide to I strongly suggest you pick up copies of 1 and 2 and play through them. Pay attention to the story, it starts kind of slow but it'll grab you eventually and you won't be able to put it down.
