Gabriel scans the room, amazed at the amount of people that are here "how do you manage to keep them all safe and provide for them? foraging around here i imagine would be the only way but that is almost suicide"

" I am ex green beret... I'm used to it.. The orphanage had enough door for a year and the hospice has supplied is with what it could... "

A child runs up and hugs her leg as she looks at you.

" is it bad out there?"

Gabriel smiles and gets down on one knee to talk to the child "this city has seen better days, but dont worry, we'll keep you safe, whats your name?"

She frowns but nods as the woman points to an office." Come officer, lets speak in private."


The little girl lets go of her leg and watches as she goes Ito the office.

" and the world ends like this huh.."

She sighs and pours a brandy into a glass.

" now, brass tax... What is going on out there."

She asked, her tone devoid of any jest or softness.

"well unfortunately we dont know much, I got a call for an incident at a local public school where there was an incident, it was pretty bad, at the time know one really knew what was going on, we did see some guys that looked like the CDC take one of the bodies off, but no one said anything.

We drove off and ended up in a cemetery then well, things turned for the worse"

" you said CDC right... If they are involved its becoming pandemic.."

She looks at a picture of a man in a military uniform and herself sitting on a bench.

"I have no way of knowing for sure, i could not identify markings or patches on them to see if they were CDC, but they were the only people taking away the bodies, and they were in Hazmat suits so I assume it was the CDC."

Gabriel turns to Jeremy, "glad to hear i was afraid I was gonna lose ya" he pats Jeremy on the back

" seems like we don't really have a choice. There is a CDC outpost nearby. I'm going to see what information I can find."she stands and grabs a pistol from the cabinet.

" you both come with me."

"what about the survivors and children? will they be safe? or should one of us stay to watch over them?" Gabriel assembles his items that he brought with him as he talks to Gabriella

" the undead won't make it up here, even still mason is here."

She removes a holster from a mannequin and cracks her neck.

She leads you downstairs and you are greeted by the sight of those undead ripping an tearing at a corpse .

You are lead outside through the kitchen and into the cool night.


You follow her through the woods and notice the knife at her side.

" Gabriella if you dont mind me asking whats with your knife? i didnt know you were associated with Mercs? " Says Gabriel as they continue on their path through the woods

She smiles.

" it's my husbands knife ....the give it to te ones that survive."he takes it off of her hip considering it.

" he hasn't been home on over a year."

Gabriel smirks "that is nice, what is he doing over there? or is it classified?"

She stops for a moment and sighs.


" you think what is happening here is bad? He's been in china for a year doing this. The entire country of china had been cordoned off. He was sent to aide survivors and silence anyone stirring trouble."

You stop as jeremies eyes open. The world news had said something about a violent pandemic in china over a year ago. The Red Cross was sent and officially the pandemic was " put under control."


Gabriella sighs. " if the infection got this far I can only guess what's going on over there."

She stops at a barbed wire fence watching it carefully

"if it has been going on for over a year who knows what has happened, mutations and god only knows what" Gabriel says as he walks up to the fence with Gabriella "Im not surprised the Red Cross would lie like that, the governments rarely let the people know the truth anymore"

"no doubt it has spread to the other countries in Asia besides china, you cant keep a country like that quarantined from the rest of the continent"

Gabriella nods and points to a length of gate that looks like heavy weight crashe against it.
