Turning to you stands Your commanding officer, Lord-general fartfaret. Reknowned for his xenos incursions across the galaxy. you smile, his name has put you in a jovial mood. "ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!? His sharp accent brings you back to your senses. "yes..sir" he smiles cunningly.

Cross stands and snaps off a crisp salute, he bends and picks up his heavy bolter and gear before walking out into the parade ground. Moving double time across the grounds towards the barracks and his awaiting team Cross listens to the distant sound of the fight that is taking place over the rest of the planet. Opening the doors to the barracks cross steps in and places his kit down looking around the room looking at the rest of the team he has been assigned to.

There are four other members standing in the room, Two guardsman commando's stand side by side smoking Iho-sticks whislt playing chess, another rare sight is that of a Tanith scout first and only, his blue snake tatoo curling around his face. Away from the rest of the group stands a shrouded figure, his death mask gleaming in the reflective light. He seems to be watching you as he polishes his sniper rifle

he takes in the elite cadre of men arrayed before him before nodding his head "so when do we leave?" Cross says lighting a Iho-stick and sitting on the nearest bunk

the taller of the two adknowledges you "Soon, I'm Krysat but you can call me scar, this here is silvertongue..we call him that because of his way with the laides haha!"he slaps his thighs in jist and goes back to his game, moving another piece "you can try talkin' to the scout be he ain't muttered a word to us since he got hee, poor fellow..whole planet gone and just his regiment that survives. Oh and then theres him" points to the shrouded man "He hasn't moved from that spot since he got here, just keeps on shining that 'ol rifle. If you ask me he's an assassin"

The scout looks up at you with piercing purple eyes. "You wern't there..you have nothing to be sorry for. We however..we..we..could of done more." he turns away and sharpens his knife

Cross starts cleaning his heavy bolter waiting for the order to move out

A sharp bang ehos throughout the chamber, alerting all of the men. Your knocked to the floor as an explosion rips through the barracks, you look up to see a support beam falling towards you. But you are saved by the timely intervention of the Shrouded man, who's claok is no longer there. It's revealed he is a Vindicare Assassin. The vox blurts out "Attention all Imperial guard personell, We are under attack, I repeat we are under attack. Can all civillians and reffugees please make your way to the evacuation bunkers where you will be supported by members of authority. Any availiable euipped personell make your way to the west front. The emperor protects"

Cross nods his thanks to the assassin and stands quickly grabbing his heavy bolter Cross slams an ammo drum in places and heads out with the rest of the squad towards the western front

"You!" turning you see the General hurrying towards you. "Where are you going?! the warboss is to the East, they're trying to rout us! a Valkryie is waiting for you and the squad in the hanger, take it and make for the hiiive!" he screams as a bit of shrapnel tears through his chest punturing his lungs, causing imminent death

" come on men we gotta Warboss to destroy" Cross bellows as he turns and sprints towards the hanger

The assassin stares at you from behind his mask, unmoving and silent. the other men snap to attention and form up. "what now?"

Shells rain all around your squad as they reach the hanger, shaken but unharmed. However all that changes as you see the flyboyz dashing around the place tearing it up, heading for the valkryie

Cross braces and swings his heavy bolter up squeezing the trigger he starts firing at the storm boys "give them hell lads"

The storm boyz turn their heads just in time for the bolter rounds to burst through their fanged maws. One howls as a stray round pierces a promethium can and sets him alight, bursting his rocked pack open and ignighting the fuel inside. His death was marked by a sizeable explosion and a splatter of gore. "Oi you Gitz! leave off my Boyz, its time for you humies to get stomped!" all five of you turn in time to see a powerclaw burst through the chest of one of the commando's and filling him with electricity causing him to jerk like a puppet. "Me Da Masher! It's time I showed you humies why dat's ma name!" The Armoured Nob plows towards the tanith scout who is covering the assassin's back

"Over here you Grot shit eater" Cross bellows swinging his heavy bolter in its direction and fire off a burst of bolter shells at it
