" it's called a lorenthian geode. Your strength was sub par with your ice so we decided to give you a small boost."

He smiles and leans against the wall.

" the elders have spared you. So in turn you will work with me until you are set free."

"'Boost'"? Skive asked with a confused look on his face. He then reached out his arm, palm upwards, and tested his powers.

You feel a sharp sti gong pain in your hand but watch as the ice forms into an odd hail like must around your hand.

" clumsy.... But efficient."

The commander laughs motioning for you to follow

"Seems like I need to get used to that thing.. And I can't say I like the idea of things getting inserted under my skin like that... But compared to being dead, I guess it's better."
Continuing to dress, Skive gives the man a look.
"Wait a minute, you said 'job'. What kind of 'job'?"

He smiles.

" to and I are going to be sent to a remote area... There's tales of a psychopath running wil impersonating Cain.... We're being sent to end it."

Skive stops in mid motion, staring at the man.
"'Cain' you say..?" He half whispers with a smile playing on his lips. He could feel the hands of fate leading him to something greater than himself. Hurriedly he finished gearing up, and passed the man to the corridor outside.
"Are you coming, or do I have to do this without you!?"

He laugh and leads you to an apc .

Inside one other person sits, and from what you see, she's a woman.

" this is Mary.... Sniper for this mission."

Mary acknowledges you with a nod as the clod or closes behid you.

" it seems a rival company known as dead tech ha made a clone of Cain ... Oddly enough even ho siht is having a problem with it. We are to kill it and capture it for study."

He puts on his helmet.

" any questions ?"

Skive answers the nod with his own, along with a smile. He listens with interest, and take what is being said into consideration.

"Hmm.. As I have learnt, Cain is a hard fellow to get a hold of. Even less something to clone him with. Is it possible for Cain to work together with this 'Dead Tech' group?"

Your new commander looks at you.

"we havent consdered that, but that wouldnt fit his mo. Can was a silencer, high paid assasin. Dead tech is all terrorists, it would be "Beneath cain to do so."



The apcs door opens and you can see a town in the distance.


"Skive you stay on me . understood?"

Skive calmly follows the man.
"So, what's the plan? Attack everything, or try to be a little tactical?"

Before a response can come, Skive lets out a laugh.
"I just realized, you guys took me in without any idea of my combat ability. As far as you know, I cant fight for shit! Ha!"

[Thugren]

the commander grunts.

"youll be a distraction to lure it out...We know full well we havent seen you in combat...This is your chance."


He points to the open gate down the road.

"That way is where the gghouls got in, you head there and start being loud and obnoxious....im sure youll be able tyo take it from there."

[Iron K]

"Loud I can do, but obnoxious, now that is subjective.." Skive answers jokingly.

Skive set of towards the gate, walking swiftly but confident. As he comes closer, he slows down into a carefree stroll, and starts whistling a familiar tune. When at the gate, Skive stops and looks around, and speaks out in a loud tone:

"Oh my, I hope there is nothing dangerous here that would want to harm me, a poor, defenseless, and tiered traveler..!"

As you turn the corner into the town a pack of ghouls turn around from their meal and look at you.


A violent hiss escapes their ravaged lips and they lunge at you hissing in animalistic fury

"I don't know what the others definition of 'A Distraction' is, but I think this will do..." Skive says to himself as the first wave of adrenaline hit his system..

A mixture of fear and enthusiasm pushed his powers to activation, and with a wave of his hand, he tried to create a barrier of ice between him and the blood hungry horde.

The barrier is made flawlessly an the ghouls slam Ito it with a meaty crunch.

Jagged shards of ice have killed one or two, but the rest have been stuck, clawing at you.

To your right you see a path leading into the town, but a loud roar up te path lets you know somethig big is coming

"Hahaa!" Skive shouted in triumph at the stuck horde. When the loud roar reached his ears, he hesitated for a moment before he started running towards the source.
"They wanted a distraction, they will get a distraction..." He said through himself, desperately trying to figure out what to do when he found whatever made the sound..
