nothing moves in the darkness and the fiogure flips succors staff in its hand watching you carefully.

Hector takes a second thought, "No, im sure our paths will cross again, and when they do, it will end with my metal ending your life" 

 

Hector takes Succor and turns away from the figure towards the exit  and leaves him alone

you go through the hall and find your way yto waht looks like a squatters room.

 

 

The cots are dirty and old but as you lay succor down you notice something. He isnt dead. By sheer force of will the master purifer has encased all vital organs and arteries in blood.

 

 

"hectory....Dear boy.."

 

he croaks, grippign your hand gently.

 

 

"There is a way to save me . bnut we do not have alot of time to do it....Do you feel capable enough to summon a living steel golem.."

Hector looks at his friend with such sorrow and sadness, this mas has been more than a mentor to him, more than a brother, almost like a father figure these past few months that this ordeal has been going on. 

 

"Yes Succor, for you I will give everything I can to ensure your survival" 

 

Hector concentrates as hard as he can and begins the process to make the steel golem

the iron from the walls and surrounds rip off easily and instantly liquefy. As one they all rush to the center where succor lays and engulf him, covering his flesh with the healing iron and encasing him in a metal shell. 

 

WIth a sickening crunch he rips out the exposed ghoulbone and sighs.

 

 

"ityll take a very long time....But as long as im in this ...ill eventually heal."

"is there any way to accelerate the healing process? a geode of some type perhaps?"

"who was that figure we encountered and did this to you in the first place? he was very powerful, i have never encountered a being like that before in all my years as a Purifier"

Succor groans as if annoyed by his predicament.

 

"He is a member of the brotherhood. A beast named elias."

 

he morphs a long length of iron and looks at the door.

 

"He ...Pushed the boundaries of morality."

 Hector Looks at succor; "the brotherhood? who are they, I was never told of them or heard of their dealings, what do you mean when you say "pushed the boundaries of morality? what did he do?"

Succor sighs.

 

 

"There are some things a man should never do.....BUt breaking the prothgean riddle is one of them...The riddle was left by a mad scientist....A way to cheat the bodies infection once the host was bitten before the cure was circulated.. He became a creature more dangerous than any ghoul....Something that controls every cell of infection in the human body."

"so he is basically immortal and can control  the cells of infection in the human body...great, what made him become the monster he is, there is a cause or some sort of logic in every move someone makes, what was his ultimate gain or motive?"

Hector sits down by succor he looks on his person to see if he has any food or some form of nourishment he can over his friend

you find cans of food and succor grunts.

Hector brings the food over to Succor.

 

"this is true, it is man's nature to defy fate, to craft his own destiny.  That can also lead men down a dark path, as you have stated. Men than act in that we need to be stopped, yet in this world, there is an ever growing list of people that need to be stopped. Is there anything else I can do to help you Succor?"

the living steel slides away from succors face and he slowly takes the food, eating slowly.

 

"Well be fine...That beast was strong but the iron should heal my body within enough time.....Our issue is if he meets the ostari."

Oh man, i completely forgot about the Ostari, but...why would that be a problem? Also, is there anyway i can help you accelerate your healing?

he looks at the door.

 

"If that thing goards them enough.....He could easily turn targe agasint his guard.....The only thing needed is a push between those two and blood will be shed."

"We need to stop them then, we cannon allow that to happen, if we don't the end result will be horrific, what can we do, you are not in any condition to fight.....yet I am not certain I am strong enough to fight this being alone"

succor stands, his hand resting on your shoulder.

 

"Im strong friend...If your ready to go...Lets do this."

 

e opens the dfoor awaiting you.

"are you sure, i dont want to lose you succor, i came close, but i dont want to cross that threshold just yet"

 

hector comes and follows Succor and goes through the door

Outside its quiet.

 

The night is cool and a moisture filsl the air but soon enough the roar of the ostaris can be heard in the distance.

 

"Lets get there before he manages to kill somone."

 

Succor growls in annoyance."
