As moderators they get the priv/curse of having to trawl through our junk posts when complaints are made so its easy to spot where the problem truly lies in case of false accusations. Even deleted/edited posts can be viewed if needed as I understand it.

Everything major that's reported will go to the inner council, so it will be thoroughly reviewed by a dozen people, so don't worry everything's gonna be considered and debated, there wont be any wrongly accused.

And there it comes! The next victim of the witch-hunts! Yay! Well done! Look, I'm going to speak plainly, and you're not going to like it. This may even get me a warning, or worse, but look, I don't care. This is Gothic Wars, a small internet community that is primarily for Warhammer 40,000 nerds, and more recently, any other game too. More recently it has become 'Cru and crew's little empire' run, in my opinion, by people emotionally and socially ill-equipped to do so. You ban a member, and again, it's not a big deal, this is just GW we're talking about here, but you expect what to happen? You push people away for not sharing your idea of fun? You censor EVERY DAMN THING? Posts deleted for not showing those with the power to edit in a good light? Hell, I'm expecting this post to be changed/edited/removed.

My point is, you're not going to have a community left if you keep this up. Hopefully you don't take the childish route and view this as an attack, and instead view this as what is is... advice and friendly, constructive criticism. Ok, that's that done, FLAME ON!

That is definately something I have to agree with. It's the only thing on the site which I disagree with although i'm happy how the Inner Council dealt with the problem, the trolling had to stop.

Im sure if most of the trolling, flaming, and baiting wasnt censored then NO ONE besides the trolls would want to be here. People come here to play games and have fun, not to observe or be insulted by endless pitty arguments and flame wars.

According to Cru's announcement the trolling did stop and still a leader that helped establish this site was banned. GW is being blead dry and won't realize it untill all that is left is Cru and several 13 year old yes men. We will continue to fight for what we know is right and that is that this is a game and should be fun.

I think they have to censor it though because they have people on here that are 17 and below. They have guidelines to follow, which at times yes sound stupid. If you did not want to censor things then they would have to verify or ages and all that crap. It would then also become a hassle, but in turn might be a good thing.

I have had my issues in the past with the Fists you all know that. But I just needed time to settle in with what we were doing as a Chapter because I did not agree with it.

I do not want you guys to take this the wrong way, but one day someone said "oh your the only one without warnings" to me. There is an art to dealing with arguments so that it is not seen as flaming and trolling. You guys do not take the warnings system seriously and this in turn is the consequence of it. It sucks that Gerhart was banned, but you got to learn from your mistakes. Maybe they will reconsider letting Gerhart back in if he appeals, and takes things a bit more serious about the warning system as I think the rest of the Fists need to learn. This is something I think the Fists really need to work on. Why troll of flame a post? There is no need for that. If someone is going to be a jerk to us you want to know what the best thing to do is? Kill them in battle and bathe in their Blood!!!!! Words do nothing but cause problems. As I said before I really hope you dont take this the wrong way guys. My loyalty is to the Fists, but when we are on Gothic Wars we are not in charge and must follow the rules and guidelines.

Gerhart stopped trolling because he knew something was coming his way as he could tell from reading the moderator logs that all the threads he trolled in was moved to be reviewed by the inner council. And as the past 4 months has taught us the trolling would have definitly started again soon, and everything was attempted to persuade Gerhart to stop but that was only met with more trolling, so a ban was the only course of action left.

And if Gerhart was given special treatment for being one of the first founders on this site then that will definitly lead to an unfair system for a website. In fact, the fact this went on for 4 months before it was finally resolved shows he did have special treatment.

We will continue to fight for what we know is right and that is that this is a game and should be fun.

And the staff of this website will continue to make this a fun place to host this game without pitty trolling.

I speak for no one but myself when I say this was not something I wanted to happen. As a senior moderation member of the community I disliked that it came to this.


The only choice we have as mods is to work for the best interest of the community, by in large we won't be liked, but like the incident preceding this one, we will continue striving for better and better aspects of the community.

I respect all opinons stated here so I request you do not cause an argument.

1. What do you define as Crus empire? Each of the 11 Council members are entitled to their own opinions, and we each made our own choice. We have seen the evidence which has taken place over the last few months and made our own verdicts.

Also many people do not see trolling as "Fun". We have seen Gerhart argue with Rom in the Angel of Saguine section which was unecessery. And yes was also in the wrong but that is something for another time. We chose to ban Gerhart because all else had falied. If you do not agree with the rules you can inform one of the council through PM or you can take your leave. It has been made clear, Trolling and flaming is not execpted here.

Ok, that's that done, FLAME ON!

Jc has already gone over most of these things. All I request is that you do not look down on those younger then you. That is the worst thing you could do. Cause most of these youth are much more mature then most people I know.

Also by saying you will fight for what you belive in, think about how you do it. We do not need anymore trouble.

Yes the truth hurts. The truth is Gerhart is no longer part of this site. Deal with it. Like I said to Funk, you can inform one of the council through PM or you can take your leave. It has been made clear, Trolling and flaming is not execpted here. And also please explain to me through a PM what these double standards are. Maybe for you GW is sinking but to others it isent.

I hope the decisions we make as group doesnt affect our ability to simply be community members and enjoy the social aspects of this site. The first 4-5 months I was here I was factionless and was simply here to talk and socialise with people here and I hope it will remain that way for me.

Insulting countless members, derailing dozens of threads into flame wars, and baiting whole factions into arguments, is trolling.

Nearly the entire site has considered and even reported his actions as trolling.

In my opinion, Gothic Wars only gets stronger by weeding out the people that only want to cause problems. This is a large community of chapters that enjoy playing Space Marines and other games. No one person should have the right to ruin what so many of us have come to really enjoy. So you might think that Gothic Wars is a sinking ship but there are still many of us around that have no problems with how things are being run on this site. If you feel that the crimson fists are not being treated unfair, than you always have the option to leave. I do not believe that you are but I am also not in the habit of telling people what to think. I do know this, the Dark Angels will firmly stand behind Gothic Wars to help make the website grow and prosper. Gothic Wars will not sink on my watch and I know there are many other people and chapters that feel the same way.

Me, personally. I feel that the best thing to do would have been to reverse his posting capability and only allow him to post within his own faction specific forums, the hidden one. That way, he would be able to disrupt others and in turn, he could still manage his clan on gothic wars. I do not know if have a way of doing that, but its my opinion.

Let's Calm this down to a simmer. We expect voices to come forth in disagreement but don't forget the simple fact : We have friends here. I see several of my own here, people that I enjoy listening to, RPing with, and simply kicking back in PM discussions about random nonsense that there is no place for on the forums.

While a lot of us are not privy to the conducted course of action, I will speak forth that the Fists have never given me a single example of being a bad group of guys. I wish for it to stay that way. I don't believe any of us -like- that it came down to the choice being made but it was made and this is where we stand. For those of us who crave a community we must step forth and help assemble the pieces in any means necessary.

Brothers coming at throats. Knives behind the backs. Voices roaring in defiance. We don't want anything to ever come to that end - A small crack is repairable. A Fissure can destroy entire communities. It is a product of history that we are all aware of. Though one was outcast, it was felt to be for the greater good. Together, if GW is a sinking ship, then we are the crew that is responsible for it's descent into the fathoms. Be it so, it is our job to ensure that it stays afloat.

Do not let this get out of hand. Take what you can in stride and try to move along. Arguing over the outcome will not change it's condition and will only lead to bad blood and ill-will. Why promote such things when there is already enough at hand to deal with?

Corman - You're a great guy. I've spent many a shared threads with you and to hear your input and outlook on the situation is grounding, but I assure you : as long as it is fought to keep alive, the community will thrive. I am sympathetic towards the loss here on the community but it is doubtful that your Chapter Master is lost to you. Were there any other way I'm sure it has been and would have been taken, but this is the outcome that we are left with as a whole and as a community. If needed you know you can detonate my inbox.

To the rest of you ~ Cool your jets if they are heated. Igniting them will simply be a waste of fuel for a campaign that is failed before it's start.
