Gothic Wars is constant drama. I do not follow or involve myself in anything beyond what I think is fun/funny. More and more I find that there's a clique to be in here, if you don't want a part of it, you will be made a pariah, A la Dern, a la Gerhart, a la Skotten, etc. it's sad, but some people, namely the mod team, have their own little slice of the internet to rule. I mean, if it gets people off on the power, fine, but real life is going to kick them in the balls one day.

There is always some sort of drama, and if you speak up on the side the mods don't side on, your posts vanish.

Which I don't get, if a post is deemed against the rules (and not pornographic) then leave it, make a post that the user has been warned. Then after the magic number of warnings has been reached, the user is banned, also publicly. If anyone questions why, the evidence is all there to behold. It keeps the system transparent.

Drama seems to be theme around here. I really am not happy with the amount of shit that has gone down here. You've all seen my posts and know my opinion on the matter. Have fun, play some games and stop if you don't like it anymore. Bitching has gotten us nothing on this site and people take things too personally. Honestly it no longer surprises me to come here and find someone starting shit over something petty. Calm the fuck down and enjoy your games people, this is an escape not the source of stress.

i dont post much yet yea i agree with some points but some people just get to worked up for games soo yea im one of those players that likes to get his happy inner nerd out and have a blast with every one online yet others like to be douchbags but i can understand them to a degree their having their own fun i kinda envy them for having the balls to be soo rude with people (naaa not really)

Nothing like excessive violence to solve problems Satisfying and can lead to some amazing games as people give it their absolute. I've witnessed a few grudge matches and never been disappointed in the show of skill

Its all very well saying all this but there is an extreamly fine and blurry line between telling someone what you think of them and being an outright dick. Personally I prefer to tell people straight up what I think, if I have a problem with someone I will make it very clear and would prefer people to be the same way with me. Personally I think its a shame when you get people that belive they have the right to say shit about people but when someone says shit about them they cant take it. If you dont like someone fucking call them on it or shut the fuck up and come back when your balls are bigger then a fucking pea.

Felt it had to be said. Loads of people say on threads like this that certain individuals are dicks and I always look and think just fucking name them and tell them that you reckon their a dick or fuck off. Anyone I have had a problem with i've called out in public and I don't do it for others to see, I do it because I am not afraid to let people know my honest opinions of people/subjects that other may be too reserved to voice themselves. I know this is not always the best approach and I know it may make me seem arrogant or stubborn but at the end of the day I would rather have everything out in the open then kept all hush hush behind peoples backs and private, people seem to choose their words more carefully when they know they are in public but I dont give a fuck for example if I though Cru was a dick (which I dont) id call him a dick. Yes it would probably get me banned from the site but so fuck, no one can say im not honest.

Come on now~ Continuing around with a chip on your shoulder isn't healthy for anyone at all. We all know you're upset and 99% of us sympathize deeply, but there has to be an end.

@Fuzzy - That approach, though tactless, is usually effective. However if we make a subtle approach at going " Hey, you're really starting to irritate me. How about we work something out or just stay out of each others' way?" will usually net better results.

Also, I'm sure Cru knows he can be a Dick. If you PM him about it he'd likely laugh and joke about it with you. Same goes for most other people. We're all capable of being extremely unconventional and outright detestable. We just have to roll along with it.

At the end of the day, still, we're people. We all have our setbacks and make mistakes. Just the other day I irritated someone outright here which is uncommon for me. Separated ribs and dealing with it all day puts me in a bad mood - how I ended it? I acknowledged where I had been abrasive and made a quick amend. Why most other people have issues doing the same is beyond me. There is no Pride on the internet.

Defeating your opponent on the battlefield will always hold more weight than words on a 3rd party related forum to a game. Make it known that you are the greater on the battlefield of which this forum has been centered around for a year and you wont need to talk. Let your las-cannon do it for you fuzzy wuzzy!
