wtf games workshop have now officially priced themselves out of my life when they decided to charge £30 for a F£$king army book yes the models look nice but really i can buy a rule book for any number of non games workshop wargames for that price and the models look just a nice but are half the price. Well done Games Workshop i tip my hat to you you are slow pricing yourself out of the market *starts slow clapping*

Yeah it's just gone absolutely mental in the last 5 years. They should sell stripped down versions, only stats and rules - no images, no stories, no fluffy desciptions. Bare bones, black and white, bare priced.

They wont put codexes on ebooks, they wont get ripped that way.

It makes sense though, only people who can actually afford an iPad would buy the digital codexes for such a ridiculous price.

They are putting it on the iPad alone because purchases of those are digitally signed to your account and supposed to be impossible to rip off the iPad to upload. Just wondered if it's been done already

I'm actually really disappointed that I can purchase books from the Black Library for my nook/pc, but not the Codecies. The fact that those are only available for Ipad is really irritating. Just like the damn core rulebook being so absurdly high priced that I haven't picked up 6th edition yet. Just as Ogreninja indicated, they are pricing themselves right out of my business. I haven't bought anything directly from GW in I don't know how long. Ebay is the only way I can afford to bother with 40k.

or trying most other independant stockists, as most of them will do at least a fifteen to twenty percent discount on gw products, as mentioned earlier: maelstrom games, wayland to name a few.

Theres a place called Gifts For Geeks nearby my local store, does a 20% discount on GW products as well.

Although Im probably not gonna be buying GW products for several years.

I just want to point out for you UK and US people GW products are expensive, in New Zealand they are extortionate. They have a policy of ramping up prices here claiming "shipping costs" which is utter BS because I can Amazon things like this for less shipping.

I reckon in a decades time they'll be out of business or start lowering prices instead of raising them every year.

They need to stop pumping out new models and things so regularly. If they cut their design costs they could keep their profit while lowering prices.
