[Talon Lord Othrim]

As she reached for her bow she saw that it had been moved a few feet away from her. "ah there is it," the voice offered from the trees. " Why do you humans always instinctively reach for a weapon." From up in the trees a figure descended from a vine and drew level with her.

A wood elf. No bigger than a 12year old girl looked back. Intricate blue tattoos traced her tanned skin.

Cyriene let a smile escape her lips and relaxed her grip. "Im sorry, I ran into a little trouble last night". Steadying herself onto her knees she reached out her hand and offered it to the wood elf. "I mean you no harm, my name's Cyriene"

The new commer looked at her hand as if she thought she was being offered something realising it was empty looked confused. Shrugging she began to swing gently on the vine which promptly snapped sending her to the grownd a crumpled heap.

Her face flushed as she stood. Brushed herself down and returned her attention. "Karyn princess of the Woden tribe." she stood erect as if expecting something.

looking a little puzzled Cyriene looked around briefly, her canteen catching her eye. She picked it up and drank some then offered it to Karyn. "Its water, would you like some?" She rose to her feet and brushed the damp leaves from her clothes. "Ive never met a princess before, is your village close?" Cyriene could feel hunger setting in but knew she must make a start for home, her brothers would be worried; but she was still determined not to go back empty handed.

"No Thankyou." she replied "My village is a few miles from here. I could take you there but then you would never be allowed to leave. To protect us from other humans."

[Solaria]

"Ah I see, well then I shall have to decline your offer and make my way, I have to head back and I have a long trek ahead". Cyriene collected her things together and readied herself for the journey back home. Maybe I'll catch the scent of another hart if I am lucky, she thought to herself. Taking a deep breath filling her lungs she tried to make sense of the direction she should be heading. Then glanced over at Karyn she nodded her head and gave her a small salute. "I wish you well Karyn" then she turned and headed back into the dense forest.

The day is taken up by her return journey home. Having taken the time to get her bearings. Many times she feels as though she is being watched.

Suddenly! the ground gives way and you feel yourself falling. As everything spins about you, you feel a massive jolt. Blackness.

You open your eyes. above you see the hole. You have fallen 50ft or so and now rest in a heap below. As you try get your bearings your head pounds and swims. You find yourself in some sort of natural cave or cavern.

rubbing her eyes back into focus Cyriene could see there was no going back the way she came,
with her head still pounding she listened cautously for any sounds coming from above, rubbing her aching neck as she looked up and along the damp walls for any other way out of pit. "great this is just great" she said quietly to herself.
There is no way her brothers can find out about this. Slowly rising to her feet she placed a hand on the muddy wall to steady herself and hoped that there was another way out.

As her eyes adjusted to the gloom she could make out an even darker patch of shadow. This darkness, a natural tunnel.

"This has to lead somewhere" she muttered to herself as she began her descent into the darkness, not knowing where it could lead her; feeling a little unnerved but still determined she quickened her pace as best as she could using the walls for guidance.

Into the darkness she ventured. The ground underfoot slick and uneven. Several times she slipped only just managing to catch herself. She could hear her breath and the trickle of water somewhere out in the distance.

Something within her tells her to stop! and just in time. The air suddenly cools and she can almost feel the openness in front of her. Feeling her way the cavern opens up.

She could either walk out into the open space of the cavern or follow the wall.

still listening to the soft sound of the water cyriene decides to go in the direction of the cool breeze, scanning the area for any sign of light creeping through

You make your way out into the darkness. Feeling your way gingerly.

the further she went the more she got a thrill by the fear of the unknown, her adrenaline was pulsing through her veins encouraging Cyrienes every step. Stopping for a quick rest she drank from her canteen and checked to make sure her sword and arrows weren't damaged in the fall. Her quiver was a bit beaten but nothing some rope and some bark wouldn't fix once she got back. She took in the different aromas that filled the dank cavern and felt the ground to see if it was getting wetter or drier. The wetter it got then she should be near a river or stream and if it runs through then thats my way out she thought

Pools of ice cold water greeted her fingers. The main body of water could not be far off. As her eyes adjusted she could make out stalagmites and stalactites. She looked above her nothing gave away any indication as to how far underground she was. As she watched a stalactite broke and fell towards her!!

She tries to throw herself to the side to avoid being struck by the stalagmite hurling herself into the wall.
