[Brother Conrad]

Thought I'd get some conversations on here rolling. What TT armies do yall run? I just got started, working my first Army, Black Templars. No idea what I'm doin, but a Jump Pack Chaplain with an Assault Squad is my staple right now lol.

I've been out of the table top game for awhile now, about the time it went to 3rd edition I believe. But gathering dust on my shelves I have... umm...

Two entire companies of Ultramarines, the 1st and 2nd.

Also about half a regiment worth of Imperial Guard.

Around 2-3k points worth of Eldar Altansar Craftworld.

And about the same amount of points in Sisters.

I won't even bother going into Fantasy.

Well that's their 3rd incarnation. As I've collected and gotten older they were originally made up chapter A, then I realized my painting sucked, stripped them down did them again as made up chapter B, got older went "wow that still sucks," stripped them down again, and went Ultramarines. It's possible the time will come where I will look at them and go "That still sucks" and start all over again.

My painting just sucks, I need to practice using layers, highlights and ink.

If you go templars go with reclusiarch chaplains and an emperors champion. That is the way to go. And a melta gun in every crusader squad.

For heavy support go predator annihalators and vindicators. Or go with attack bikes and multi meltas(my personal favorite).

But make sure to go mechanized as I am noticing 5th ed is mech heavy.

See, the game has changed so much. I remember tanks being very rare to see on the field unless you were Imp Guard. And meltas, while effective were usually very sparse due to range limitations. Stupid edition changes.

I have not played TT for such a long time got loads of unpainted figures, I'm sure I have enough for a 1500 Marine or Orc army.
