I have to admit the Necron and Space Marine ones look crap :/ I thought the Storm Raven was bad but this? Im not liking the road GW model tank designers are going down

the orks look awesome - but i agree the stormraven looks shit - the talon evenshitter - it screams apache/cobra

Ork vehicles always look awesome, because its Orky. And has red flames painted on it I did in once fact make a squad of killa cans out of 6pack of Coke and loads of arms and feet from a Deff Dread. My local GW store manager bet I couldnt do it but proved him wrong

Stormtalon is cool, looks like a brick with jets on it! Haha Orks are ok, looks like a Nam/Korean era jet. Some how I dont think that the Orks would be able to peice something together that looked that good.

Well "flyers" have been in apocalypse for a while, so I'm wondering will they flyers will be added to normal 40k since you can buy a few off games workshop site and not forge world or what.

Storm Ravens are flyers after the Blood Angels White Dwarf that soon followed their release. So these will probably have it as well.

Rules wise, they'll be fast skimmers I bet, unless flyers get added for 6th...

I think they have rules similar to the Dark Eldar flyers in their codex (36" move for the Ork flyer). As far as using them in-game, they'll be getting a ruleset similar to the Eldar Nightspinner, so that they'll be usable in games without opponent's permission.

As far as looks go, the Ork flyer is awesome, the Necron flyer is boring, and the SM flyer is much better looking than the Storm Raven. Not sure why I like the Storm Talon when I despise the Storm Raven so much, but I do.

From a modeling standpoint, the ork flyer, in addition to being my fav of the three, offers the most customization and conversion oppertunities. IMO the Necron Night Scythe's portal is pathetically small, and the Stormtalon suffers from the same compact, overarmed blockiness that plagues all of Matt Ward's fanboy models (i.e. Stormraven).

On another note, it is likely that they will incorporate a Flyer variant of rules for certain fast skimmers in 6th Edition (which is to be released this summer along with a Dark Angels/Chaos box set update according to the rumors).

I think for the Storm Talon I would just buy an Air Fix model of an Apache, or a GDI Orca, and mod it

and not the shit CnC4 Orca. The good one

I play Eldar, so I won't be using it either. (It is pretty ugly, though.)

I wonder if it would be able to come with additional options than what it just comes with like the razorback does...
And personally i would rather make the Talon look like a Apache than an Apache look like a Talon....

Its got as options Lascannons, Typhoon Missle Launcher, and this skyhammer missile launcher, all of which twinlinked.

And I have to say its EVIL! I played a staff member in a game and he had 3 of them. I had first turn, moved my 2 Storm Ravens flatout towards him, he gun down one and ALL of tge Death Company and Dread inside with all 3 of them. I got so annoyed I didnt move my remaining Storm Raven, disembarked my Death Company and Death Company Dread, dread disembarked 2' moved 6' (because transport didnt move),ran another 6' , then assualted the remaining 4'. Thats 18' a Dreadnought just sprinted into assualt! He procceded to rip that thing 4 new ones.

The Storm Raven sat still. Lascannoned the first with Machine Spirit, and unloaded the ALL 4 Blood Strike Missiles into the 2nd.

Then everything else procceded to kill 20 tact marines, 5 scouts (+Telion) 5 terminators, a Rhino, a whirlwind, and Papa Smurf (Calgar) and Smurf Jr (Sicarious).

SHOOT THOSE THINGS DOWN! THEY'RE FLYING DEVASTATORS SHAPED LIKE GOLD FISH!!!
