I'm seriously confused by the confusion and troubled by the fact judging by Cru 's last post the idea seems to be getting shelved before it's had a chance ! Can't understand y this could possibly cause problems or division other than it's creation being refused without even being voted on by council members ! Also re campaign I was told I could join another faction in that with the permission of my faction leader so what's the difference???? Seriously wtf ????????

Those are two different ideas completely Saint. One is an "all-star" team for actual matches. The other is a strategy and table top game, that only select people wanted to be involved in. It's the same idea as RP'ing as a DW marine I the RP section.

What is happening here is that a whole new clan is being formed from the coming ashes of two or more chapters. Make no mistake without leaders 100% behind it they will die, and there is no way they can 100% back the old clan when they have even said they would hand over the clan to another to play against them.

As I said though have at it. I know without me the fists would fall apart, same for most chapters I'm sure. So good luck, I hope everything works out.

You make a good argument brother, you do, and by no means do not take my previous post against your idea, infact the start of my previous post stated how much I thought it was a good idea, but alas, I am still uneasy on the topic.

Its true what you say about 'Confusion', adding yourselves to another chapter would make it easier to organise matches, but again, to counteract that argument, people may resent the fact that you have two teams to play for and they can only have one; running the risk of some kind of uprising regarding the original rules of GW, which I presume nobody want to sort out, and is therefore why I suggested the 'poll' as a comprimise in order to get the communities view on the idea.


Anyway, my brothers plan to fill me in later which Im looking forward to.

EDIT: After reading the posts you made while I wrote this one, regarding an 'uprising'/'pettyness', psychologically speaking, crowds are more likely to follow an authoritarian rule rather than their own; That being that people ultimatley prefer to follow rules instead of thinking for themselves. This may be a hard concept to understand in contex with this argument, but it makes sense if you think about it.

This game is about having fun. I get it oh have found a group of players you all like and would like to form a chapter. My worry is that since the high profile memebers of the other chapters are forming this then the old chapters will be lost thus losing two chapters and cutting the field of possible teams down.

I wish you luck Grey Knights. Now as for a super team forming out of the traitors, I do t see that happening. After all the only traitor group is the Night Lords, they are super right there no need to form a new one.

It's not been decided whether this goes ahead or not yet, there's a lot of for and against. Consider it still under negotiation of terms. I see no reason why it can't happen if we can iron out the problems.

In the end we might call a community wide conscience vote. I'll get Mongo and Skotten to send me the final "for argument" and others to send me the "against" comments. Then I can make a massive poll and lock the thread, to avoid flaming! If the whole community votes majority in favor, then who are we to stop it?

Against could also be labelled genuine concerns. In the end chapters have the right ban their members from joining the GK's and the chapters themselves will deal with that issue when it arises.

I think we're all going in circles here, I know my mind is, as the posts requesting this have all been cryptic.

So indulge me, what was the whole thing about. Did they want to:

• Create a brand new unique Chapter
• Create a club membership
• Have multi-group membership removed from the taboo list

If Skotten or Mongo could answer this please, since any other reply could be considered speculation. I will await their replies.

First I apologize for letting my rising choler usurp control of my tongue yesterday, I seldom speak in anger and for that I request your clemency.

With that said...

I will attempt this one final time, as I was on the brink of dissolving everything last night...
Knowing that, I simply ask that you take the time to read my next words with the same diligence and care I employed during their selection. (After reviewing the thread last night I found that most of the confusion, and discord was a direct result of a breakdown in reading comprehension, or failure to read at all, leading to the Newtonian snowball of barbed tongues and frustration that rolled through here yesterday.)

Firstly: Corrections.

1: Skotten never stated he was leaving the wolves or handing them over in favor of the new founding. He simply stated that IF the GK were to face the SW, it would be enjoyable and he wouldn't mind letting one of his seconds lead the wolves, FOR THAT MATCH.

2: Continuing along that same vein, the leaders of both the SW and WS are not leaving their respective chapters, nor are we placing them on the back burner so to speak in favor of the new GK.
There was a fair amount of talk of the two chapters crumbling to ashes due to the 4 members forming another chapter. I would ask that you keep these pert assumptions to yourselves as I don't claim to know nor speak for the morale and inter-personal dynamics of your factions. Both the WS and the SWs are formed by a dedicated core of players who are not just "guys that play xbox together", we have formed real bonds over the course of our time spent playing and communicate with each other across multiple platforms, social sites (and real life gatherings). Both chapters are aware of, and for the new creation, as it creates new gameplay variations, challenges for everyone involved, and opens up positions for members that have been groomed to come into their own. It was said numerous times, and for the sake of simplicity I will state it again.
The GK will remain members, and or leaders of their respective Chapters FIRST AND FOREMOST. If we ( the leaders of both chapters, walked away today, our Chapters would endure.)

3: The GK, are not, in any way, shape, or form to be considered, nor ever made claims to be, an all-star team. I did say (direct quote) "This isn't all that important. just about 15 of us that enjoy and compliment one another's style of gameplay. Like an all star team, but I am not claiming that this is what we are, just a similar collection of like minded players."
There was an idea that came up later, about possibly forming a chaos all-star like team, but the two are not related.
So there is not further confusion I will state this again.

THE GK ARE NOT, NOR CLAIM TO BE AN ALL-STAR TEAM.

We are open to the idea of adding more players, but for now we have a good number for what we wish.

Now with regards to Cru's inquiry:

Yes to all three.
We want to forge a new unique Chapter, with the purpose of playing with the other GKs against the current factions, to increase the number of matches played by everyone involved, from the GK and our Birth-Chapters, to every faction present on GW. As a result of this founding, we hope to show that not only is this a viable endeavour, but a fruitful and productive one as well.

WE ARE NOT DOING THIS BECAUSE:
We think we are special or better than anyone in any way.
We want to have another banner, flag, or title displayed on our profiles. We DO NOT CARE AT ALL.
Our chapters are crumbling and we seek to bail.
We want to disrupt the harmony of this, or any community for that matter. (we have been some of the loudest voices lately trying to build and grow it)

I don't have a problem with this now since it only affects two chapters. We will not lift the dual chapter membership taboo across the board, instead we'll address on case by case.

Mongo, PM and we'll set this up - since it only affects WS and SW (haha they are reciprocals) then the other leaders shouldn't have valid objections.

Blah blah don't try recruit other chapters guys without permission (has to be said)
