"ill cover you boys for a bit more..At least until Kamui can get you guys legit and you can help him."

thearbiters lumbring form can be seen, removing his metal plated trench coat and putting on a simple button up and sweats.

Well trat you guys to breakfast and go craack a few skulls."

Crow nods and tosses Barron a bar of soap and a towel.

"Go wash your balls and lets get presentable...."

"Neegh!" was cried as Barron tried to catch the soap before it could hit his face but failed. Picking up the Soap and putting the towel over his shoulder, the boy walked out with speed, knowing they should probably leave soon as they can after getting a shower.

the shower felt good, and soon you both are in traditional  sweats and tshits with the family pin on them.

"you two look like idiots."

yukari laughs as Kamui motions them to the large red doors that lead outside.

"we got some money to collect..I wanna see you work."

"Ey, we get to be loan sharks for the day!" Barron cheered with raised arms. Though he wasn't sure how intimidating they would look at first wearing sweats and shirts. Buuuut, their new abilities should solve that problem real quick. The thought making him giggle a little as they headed out the red doors.

The air is calm as they walk amongst the neighborhood outside of the compound into the southern tokyo neigborhood. Japan had been blessed in that when the whole infection began, they shot down every plane coming in or out of the country with vicious efficiency. Ghoul outbreaks where very small which lead to the country remaining almost perfectly intact.

 

People go to school, vendors ply their trades, but most of all, life never seemed to miss a beat here. Kamui says nothign as people try their best to avoid him, his iconic gasmask rebreather legend here, setting the son of the yakuza boss aside from the normal folks.

 

"cousin.."

Crow says meekly, not entirely comfortable with adressing his cousin as they never had much interaction.

 

"Weve only ever been in the lower family.... Why bring us in now.."

Kamui chuckles, his breath a strangled rasp as he laughs.

 

"You had to start somewhere.... DO you think we wanted all the families sons in one house.... Carbombings are a thing."

"All kind of bombings exist." Barron shrugged. "None of us really drive though..." he added, wondering why Kamui picked cars out of anything. "Also, with the way everyone is avoiding you, you'd think not many people would be brave enough to do that." the young boy indicated, making no attempt to not openly look at all the people trying to not get the sons' attention but only getting Barron's even more. "It's kinda funny when they squirm."

" i had uh...a bit of a reputation before becoming an arbiter."

kamui stops and helps an older woman who dropped her bags, making yukari smile as she heads off.

" he mentioned carbombings becasue it was an easy way to kill major heads without being caught.... Hes being facetious,"

the large yakuza smiles and he looks at them both.

"ive always had a soft spot for the community though.."

" Is that why you became an Arbiter?" Barron asked. "Cause, I can see how that feeling can conflict with...you know, what our family does." He reasoned. As far as the boy knew, he never did hear why their cousin became one of the secret law enforcers or even how, did his connection to a crime family didn't matter to the group or what?

[Thugren]

"what my family does? our family?"

he says as some kids run past, bumping him but apoloogizing.

"We arent like the rich of old...The yakuza..The family have always been about community, family...Honor."

In the street some men begin to fight, causing a ruckus with waht looks like an older man. Their voices begin to raise and Kamui grits his teeth.

"Barron...Handle that without killing them"

"Without kill-ugh, might as well take my arms while you're at it." Barron grumbled before walking over to the commotion in question, listening to the voices to pick up what they were even arguing about to begin with. But he at least knew he was probably stepping in for the old man that's outnumbered here.

the men are both drunk, arguing over their work in the city. One is accuwsing the other of stealing work while the other insists that he is just aggravated over a date going bad. At barrons approach they turn and instantly sober up, bowing carefully.

"hello sir, we want no trouble!"

"Well all your yelling and bickering got you trouble. What are you guys even fighting about, one at a time." Barron laid out before pointing at the one talking about work being stolen. "You first I guess and then you." he said in referring to the one who spoke about a bad date. He knew what Kamui said, but for Barron violence was still on the table in the boy's mind.

[Thugren]

"well this asshole..."

the man drunkenly huffs as he points at the other.

"was our main supplier of fresh soybeans and bean sprouts.... We were suppsed to handle his shipping and processing and her went and got a whole new provider! another member of the family! hes taking money out of my kids mouth!"

the other man huffs and folds his arms.

"sir, he has been late for the lkast five shipments and my products need to be processed fast... Hes just upset that i went with a new vendor after the girl at my farm that he was dating left him. Whats the issue? its going to the same family?"

 

Crow snorts as kamui watches barron closely, not speaking

Barron looks at the the first one again. "How late are we talking? And what's up with that other family member? They not sharing the profits or something?" He asked the first one before shifting his look at the old man who talked about a date going wrong. "And you, don't have anything to do with that whole thing going sour do you? Starting to think this whole thing is more personal than just business decisions." The boy retorted, obviously annoyed at the prospect. If they're suppose to be family, why are they having so much drama over petty shit?
