you find yourself  a lonely room and pass out into it.

 

You sleep dreamlessly for what feels like days, and when you awake its nightfall.

 

Outside, slumped over like some horrid machine, rasmus sits agaisnt a building, a small fire before him and predator watches him intently

Sorianna sits up slowly. She felt better after her rest, she really hadn't realized how much she had needed it. Not announcing herself as awake she took the time to watch her father and the newcomer. None of this made any sense to her and it was really starting to upset her how much had been kept from her. She had too many questions and not enough answers.

" yopu shouldnt have come boy..."

 

The own coos, fixing his feathers.

 

"She isnt ready for all of this...Ive been trying to ease her into this slowly, and now you show up......"

 

Rasums stays completyely still, as if oblivious to the owls words.

Sorianna stayed quiet. This was a common situation for her really, and it seemed to be the only reliable way to get the truth. She was easy to miss or more often than not, ignored, which gave her the small freedom of overhearing information that she most likely wouldn't get otherwise.

"Tectonic ......He didnt want this for her..He wanted her to grow up a happy little girl..THats waht i wanted.... But now the world falls on top of us....Madness rears its head and we have to rise up to fight it...WHen does it end...WHen can i finally have peace.."

Sorianna rested her back against a wall. Looking absently at the fire the unrest she had been dealing with settled back in her mind. She realized her father had been trying his best but she still couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal. Everyone she cared about...or didn't for that matter, had lied to her, kept the truth from her and hidden her away like she was a fragile porcelain doll. It was frustrating. Add the fact that something else would pop up before she had gotten any answers to the questions she already had....

 

She blinked slowly, falling into a daze as she stared at the only light source. The memory filled her mind before she could stop it. She was in that house again, smoke filling her lungs, the heat of the blaze pressing in around her. She had sat there as her house burned around her, the exits barred or otherwise blocked. Someone had wanted her dead that day, and almost succeeded. Even with the memory purge she had remembered the fire. The fear, the pain, and the warning she had left in her own mind. She knew now who bore her ill will, but again she didn't know why.

 

The memory faded as she tore her gaze from the fire. Her gut burned with shame. It felt wrong to blame her father and Morgana for this but there was no one else in her life who had been there for her.

 

'Except Cain.' The thought bubbled into her mind with a flash of his young face, much less burdened by the troubles of the world. She remembered, not all of it, but she remembered. Silently she stood, and slipped away from the two to make her way outside.

"YOu should be in bed dear.."

 

She growls, watching rasmus with cold, dead eyes.

"I've slept plenty. Need fresh air." She said as she walked up to her. "Haven't heard that sound in your voice in a while." Sorianna wouldn't meet her sister's eyes, knowing she was horrible at letting her emotions show.

"I ....HATE....That boy....."

 

She cslowly rotates the cylander on the revolver in her hands.

 

 

"He is an affront to god.....A demon in flesh......I want him dead but nothing...Not even the boy you care for can destroy him..."

"Morgana..." Sorianna was appalled by her sisters words. "How could you say that....am I not abnormal, was I not called an aberration? He is unsettling but that doesn't warrant such anger. You're treating him the way the others treated me."

There was hurt evident on her face and she backed away from her sister.

She stops for a moment and sighs.

" he is nothing like you child.... You were a happy little girl.... A beautiful chickling.... This boy... Is not even human anymore. He is something long dead clinging to life sinlmply to cling... Tectonic would be appalled.... Wait until smash sees this."

"Anymore, he was human. Isn't that what humans do? They cling to the things they love, they have hope, more than any other creature on this world. Why is it so wrong that he clings to life?" Sorianna suddenly checked herself, looking down and backing farther away from her sister.

"I'm sorry, forget it. It's not like I get the truth often as it is."

She sighs and relents.

" you're absolutely right... I'm being ignorant and hypocritical.... Come here sori.. It's about time you learn everything."

For the first time in her life Sorianna looked at her sister with mistrust. Hadn't she been told that when she had been given the serum to regain her memories? Yet here she was, being surprised everyday by someone or something new and not getting answers, finding out that almost everything was a lie. It was enough to make her hesitate to follow.

Morgana sits you down, and for almost two hours, she pours her heart out.

 

She explains your request to forget your childhood friends, the horrible abuse she had suffered at her husbands hands. Predators request to have tectonics existence hidden...and finally...Rasmus.

Sorianna sits in a stunned silence, staring at the floor. She had asked for the truth, but it was a hell of a lot to take in. "I know why you hold a hatred for him, though I do not understand it. I only remember the presents he would bring and the stories he would tell me. I need a little bit, Morgana...this is a lot to process."

she gets up and leaves, but you feel something...Odd.

 

 

A familiar presence fills the air. it is old..Tender and calm and it seems to fill the air with a slight heat. YOu turn around and see rasmus standing there, his face hidden by the badgers mask.
