Decided it's time to do another reminder about these things. Over time people forget and a reminder helps stop them making mistakes that can cost them valuable time.

Faction Discharge
In order to leave a faction you must be discharged by the Leader or XO of that faction.

If the member files a ticket they will be directed to the above help page, if a Leader or XO sends a PM instead of a ticket they will also be redirected. However, should a Leader or XO refuse (either actively or passively by inactivity) to discharge a member there is a system in place for that too. Everything is in the above guide.

Inactivating Accounts
We do not delete things on GWRS for various reasons (post count, spam prevention etc etc) but we do have a system by which users can disable their accounts.

Members who do this will be stripped from all groups, mailing lists and notification lists (PM received notifications etc) but will also be prevented from accessing the forums. At any time a member can go back into their UserCP and hit the reactivate button which restores their ability to use the forums.

However, using this to circumnavigate the Faction Discharge process (as established by the Council of Leaders and XOs sometime early last year) is illegal and should you be caught you will be insta and perma banned. No appeal can be lodged for this.

Do Not XBL-Message or PM Me Website or Community Issues/Requests.
