When I was a kid it was during Kingdom Hearts (2?), dont know at which point, I think it was over how beautiful I found the game in general (especially when the song Sanctuary plays).
Oh yes. In kingdom hearts 1 i cried when Sora gave Kairi her heart back but turned into a heartless for it. And JC that was kingdom hearts 2
Kingdom hearts 1 made me cry when Sora gave Kairi her heart but in return he became a heartless. And JC that was Kingdom Hearts 2

I never cried to a movie, game or anime but the ending to Elfen Lied (mainly Manga), Angel Beats and the entire experience of Welcome to the NHK hit me hard.
Have you seen Clannad?

Kingdom Hearts is probably my favourite game of all time, I don't think I'll ever get as much enjoyment out of a game than what KH gave me.

I heard of Elfen Lied, its got a catgirl in right? Heard it was quite gruesome, would you recommend it?
How I felt throughout all of both Kingdom Hearts games

Not exactly, it's actually a girl with horns, but she sure acts like a catgirl when she's Nyu. And yes, it's downright brutal. I would only recommend it if you can handle the level of violence and disgust of the people in this anime. For example, there're children who violently kill a puppy.

When I was a young boy, I was told to go and watch Schindlers' list and to take a box of tissues.
Bloody waist of time, there was nothing to *CENSORED* over in that movie.

Yes I would but read the manga, it's far better.
Also you NEED to watch Welcome to the NHK.

Most John Hughes movies
The sunset unlimited. (Samuel L, and Tommy lee Jones, in one room, at one table pretty much, discussing TLJ's desire and attempt to kill himself. Shit is tense)

Naah, that's No Face, from this movie called Spirited Away I watched a few days ago. Wouldn't recommend it, it's popular in non-otaku western society from what THEY think good anime is. Pretty good for family viewing and for those who like bizarre stuff.
I'll add Elfen Lied and Welcome to The NFK to my list, don't expect me to read/watch them anytime soon though, I still have a mountain of yuri Im reading through

But most things along those lines do. As someone who puts their life on the line for others as a job, it really hits home especially when you include families and children...
Also, not quite related but speaks to what I was talking about. It can be found in every firehouse here in the states... And it hits me in the gut everytime I read it.
The Firefighter's Prayer
When I am called to duty,
God, whenever flames may rage;
Give me strength to save some life,
whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child before it is too late
Or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me,
To guard my every neighbor and protect his property.
And if, according to my fate, I am to lose my life;
Please bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife.
