Blissfully unaware of the cloud of fine powder surrounding her Cyriene gets a lung full. The burning sensation in her throat and cheats causes her to coff and choke violently. Yaris and another guard that was close by him at the time of rupturing the bag allso fall to the floor choking on the fine powder. Everyone else tho coffing and choking does not seem to be as badly effected. The cleric notices that Cyriene is coffing up blood tho and tries to guide her out of the cloud now hanging in the air.

once clear of the cloud cyriene drops back down to her knees spluttering and coughing, her hand clutching her throat

Cyriene's throat burns like she has inhaled powdered glass.

Wulfric take a spare torch and lights it before throwing it at the rope web in hopes of burning out the snotlings

Both the Spider shed and the ropes catch alight and little screams can be heard from above. The little creatures run across their burning web and dissapear over a ledge high up the cavern wall. As the Fire burns He can see an opening in the wall. Big enough for them to walk through in single file.

"lord Ralthan there is a tunnel entrance over there" Wulfric says pointing out what he has seen, "putting his hammer back in his harness Wulfric draws his sword and shield " I shall go first I suggest we put Cyriene and the poisoned guard in the middle of the group and a health guard at the rear of the group" he says helping the fallen guards up and offering them a drink to try and clear their throat

cyriene's throat felt raw and hurt as she tried to clear it, her voice hoarse."do we have to climb? i fell through the ground when i was escaped the thing in the hexagonal room"

"Agreed" Lord Ralthen calls back. "My dear," he continues to Cyriene, "I cant see where you may have fallen from but we have a way forward. Here drink this it should help ease the pain."
She feels a small vial pressed into her hands.

 

As Wulfric appreaches the opening he can see that the passageway continues beyond the light of the guards tourches. Though high enough for a man to walk unhindered it is not wide enough for them to walk abreast.

"itll be a tight squeeze and a single file walk through but it is the only way i can see to go further" Wulfric says while keeping his eys peeled for the snotlings

cyriene prepares herself for the narrow passage, listening carefully for the sound of trickling water like she had heard the last time she was here. we must be close she thought to herself while waiting behind one of the guards

Wulfric begins to make his way down the corridor. the going is easy and he see's no signs of the vile little creatures untill something ahead catches his eye.

Dangling from the ceiling to the floor is a thin rope, ending in a loose lasso made from hair along the ground. The words "PUT FUT HEER" has been scrawled in chalk in the middle of the open lasso - obviously, this is someone's childish idea of a snare

Wulfric stops "theres a trap up ahead just wait here for a second" Wulfric runs the tip of his swords gently across the floor towards the snare checking to see if it is just a crude trap or whether there is something more to this crudity

Wulfric's sword moves the laso about the floor but nothing seems to happen.

The lasso cuts easily with little to no effort. How this could have ever been taken seriously is laughable.

As Wulfric makes his way forward he see's nothing else out of place. That was untill the ground beneath him opened up.

The floor, hinged, swung down. He had nothing to hold on to, nothing to stop him fall into the pit below. It was not a long fall, 10 mayby 15 feet. It was the number of small spkes and blades at the terminal stop that hurt. Wulfric was pinctured and sliced in several places. The pit measured 10ft in length. Easily jumpable had he have seen the gap but the mechanism was very sophisticated and well hidden.

Looking up he can see Theldon. "Wulfric? Wulfric!" he calls out. "Say some thing. Are you alive?"

 

Cyriene hears the sudden bang of the trap doors opening and the cry from Wulfric. Theldon one of the guards calls out to him.

"yeah im fine a few nick and sc*CENSORED*s should have seen it coming the sneeky little bastards" Wulfric moves cautiously sliding his feet to avoid standing on the spikes slinging his shield on his back and sheathing his sword wulfric trys to climb out of the pit [spoiler=climb] 1d100 rolled for a total of: 62 (62) [/spoiler]

Cut and sc*CENSORED*d Wulfric pulls his way up out of the pit. Theldon takes a few steps back and leaps. His agility clearly helps as he lands saftly it the other side. He is then followed by Lord Ralthen. One by one the group leap over leaving only the cleric and Cyriene.
