"wulfric, lord ralthen should we go through?"

Yaris gives Wulfric a withered look.
"Yaris," Lord Ralthen turns to him.
"Yes my lord." Yaris stood to attention
"Fasten a rope about your waist. Theldon and the rest will hold you fast as you investigate what lays ahead."
"Certainly my Lord." Yaris does as instructed and as he passed Wulfric and Cyriene whispers to Wulfric, "Thanks pal."

He places his hand against the oily liquid and finding no resistance he begins to walk forward. As he is almost through he takes a deep breath and continues.

The rope the only visual indication thet there is something on the other end of it is slowly let out by the guards.

Suddenly the rope is yanked and the guards lurch forward a step.

"Pull him back!" Lord Ralthen calls.

As they do so the rope comes with them the end cut clean.

"yaris,if you can grab my hand?" with her hands still in the inky.fluid. She turns to face.walfric"dont let go"

Wulfric grips Cyrienes hand with both of his " don't worry I wont let go"

Cyriene feels nothing but air (the inky fluid a visual description to those that could see.)

"yaris?" she yells agian moving her hand with the hope that he can see

Again nothing.

"We must go after him!" Lord Ralthen exclaimed. "There is only the way back and I cant go back untill I know what has happend to him. Theldon. Go and see where he is."

Theldon looks a little shaken but steeling himself goes towards the doorway.

The room looks a mirror image of the one just left behind. A steel door at the far side and 4 polished colums. However, scattered about the floor are loose heaps of coins and gems with the occasional weapon poking out. Six large tombs are stacked in one corner. Over where the highest concentration of coins lay, the remains of Yaris his blood spilled across the floor.

"By the gods what could have done this?" Theldon servaying the room for any sign of movement.

Turning to go back through Wulfric is met by a large mirror. An exact replica of the room he just left complete with the statues.

" transport us" wulfric says placing his hand on the mirror

Wulfric can feel he icycold of the mirror but upon uttering the words he see's no change.

"su torpsnart" Wulfric says thinking if this is a mirror room perhaps the password needs to be said in reverse

Again nothing happens.

 

Lord Ralthen begins to get nervouse. "Should we go after them?"

"bugger looks like we're stuck here be careful not to disturb anything be prepared for anything I'll check the door at the other end" with that wulfric carefully moves across the room to the door weapon ready.

cyriene shared her thoughts with lord ralthen "if you go through Ralthen take hold of my hand maybe we can form a chain effect" cyriene swished her hand in the fluid like substance again. " you never know it just might work, just dont break the link"

"And risk loss of limb in the process miss Cyriene, severed like the rope? No we cant risk that. Gentalmen draw you blades. We're going in."
