Some weapons have more power then others but we have all learned how to deal with that.

What if we used them in the word filter instead of replacement words? Things like "You mother meltagunning piece of vengeance launcher, I'll Thunderhammer your blind grenades until you have to Burst fire sideways!"

lulz well vl melta and th arebt that bad if they arent put out in numbers. vl get alot of hate because they are so mobile and do aoe damage.

In a serious note, I could rant all day about meltas, but VLs generally require a bit of skill to use, and suffer from a low ammo count. They can be awful, they can be great. It all depends on the player.

True I could rage about a Melta to the point you wish you had no ears any more. As I can talk really fast without taking breaths seems to freak/scare people a little =P

Still gives me that little bit more satisfaction when you do kill a melta Space Marine which made you become part of the Angry Marines. =P

I can deal with A melta gun or two but when I face a team of them which practically is spamming the game to the extreme makes me think that it is pointless so I will usually finish the game then bugger off to a different lobby (Highly unlikely due to Space Marine having very little game lobbies these days) or different game. Using a Dwarven Crossbow with Dwarven fire bolts makes me happy on Skyrim =) or going onto Halo 4 and killing Grunts always makes me laugh =P

The reason why the melta is sooo hated is because it is the easiest weapon to use in the game, anybody can pick it up and get at least 10 kills with it, its not a big deal every game has one

The hammer is hated because it has the most killing power and most mobility in the game... It became unbalanced after the patch took out devastators ability to carry 2 grenades so they could defend themselves from it

Other than that I agree with spec as to why the other weapons are hated

The hammer became unbalanced when peopled figured out how to do the jump swing exploit. This game is built on checks and balances, and then when you start doing something with a weapon that was never intended to be in the game it breaks the whole system down. The reason why that move is so effective is that it’s like releasing an invasive species into the environment; its growth becomes unchecked because there are no natural defenses to combat it. Most of the melee weapons in the game have a range that is short enough for the tac. marine to roll out of the way (that’s only when lag is not involved), but with the jump swing two rolls in any direction in most cases won’t allow you to escape. I have double rolled behind a jump swinging hammer while he has been going the other way and have still gotten hit. Now I will admit it’s not nearly as bad if there’s no lag involved but how often is that the case.

there used to be a defense against it... that was the double grenade at the feet, hammer jumpswing boom boom dead... I remember people trying it on me prepatch

your right, forgot about that, but the multiple grenades came with their own set of problems particulary with people vomiting 4 MC grenades onto a point in less than 2 seconds... that was always a joy...

Doesn't anyone use the stun button? Seriously, the amount of Thunder Hammers Ive killed with a combat knife is ridiculous!

Also charging into them and killing them because at the top it will show a fist as the killing object so I can say I fisted you!! =D
