Blood angels, i am a hypocrite, their fleet is epic (read Fear to Tread) their legion strength is one of the highest, they have the red thirst and black rage, they have the most epic of primarchs.

Well seeing as this M00SE has returned from the warp, and is already basically walking death the question is what more can you do? The M00SE will silently and with purpose return from beyond the grave, and relentlessly hunt down the heretics that defy the emperor time and again.

You know if you think about it, each of the legions represent some great empire or people from history. For example the space wolves represent the Vikings.

actually the entire 40k universe is makeing fun of history, if you want to get technical, if you think about it, the horus herasy somewhat resembles the civil war between the united states and britain but with an emphasis on england being the good guys, and then the imperium and its spacemarine chapters represent something that was part of the world at one point, the inquisition could be represented by the spanish inquisition, space wolves are vikings, which i completely agree with, the iron hands are probubly the steam punk genre (i could be wrong), i think the blood angels are to represent queen elizabeth the 1st because of her title (again could be wrong), black templars are obviousely based off of the witch hunts based in the past, dark angels could represent secret societies, and it continues but thats a general idea.

It was a very common Roman tradition that 2 legions out of 20 were disbanded (always the two specific numbered legions were disbanded), this was due to a superstition that they would bring bad luck or ruin or whatever.

I'm a Night Lord first, but the Wolves will always be my favorite loyalist chapter. Most headstrong, and ya can't turn up your nose at Werewolves in power armor
