[Prosperan Son]

An Imperial,caught between the crosshairs of your blaster is sent crashing to the ground, the top of his head shaven off completely. Two guardsmen, rushing by their team mate see him fall and raise an alarm, alerting the others to the incoming aerial support of vespid. A lasvolley speeds towards the swarm

"DISPERSE!" K'tec chitters to his squad and he flutters to the side to avoid the volley, and then fires two blasts to hit the guardsmen

Burst of lasfire chased after them although K'tec is able to evade them, along with most of his brothers. Most of them anyway. One of the younger vespid warriors lurched down towards the ground, his wings clipped by multiple las rounds.

Both guardsmen are sent crashing against a wall, their bodies pocketed by the Vespid's blaster.

K'tec touches down on the ground, calling to his squad "secure this area, ensure that the humans are pushed back enough for the shas'la to make ground fall and begin the offensive"

noticing the younger recruit, he speeds to his side. The wounds look bad, and K'tec knows that the young vespid may not fly properly again.

"Brother, are you okay? can you fight?" he asks

The young vespid groans in pain, struggling to move ." My left leg stings brother..." the young warrior strains to say. Upon further inspection, it can be seen that the vespid's leg has been impaled by a curved spar of metal, ichor leaking through the cracked chitin.

"We need medical assisstance here!" K'tec shouts into the comms, before he regards his brethren, and then issues some curt orders

"K'ara, B'rich, stay with this young one until medical assistance arrives. The rest of you, with me! we will hunt down more of these humans and make then pay the price of blood for harming one of ours!" and with that he flutters, hovering just over the ground so that his movements will be undetectable, and he heads towards the sound of more fighting

M'tan pulls alongside K'tec as they near a courtyard where the fighting was intense. Several squads of kroot and vespid surrounded three large hab buildings, taking cover behind large chunks of debris and over turned vehicles. Las and autogun fired shot outwards from the buildings, the defenders within desperately trying to take out any of the invaders. The path leading into the buildings themselves were strewn with bodies, Guardsmen and Kroot.

"we must stage a two pronged attack here. I will lead a diversionary assault on the front face of the building, while you take a squad and access the roof. we will catch them in a trap." K'tec says, before gathering a squad and telling them to arm the photon grenades.

"Agreed. Squad Kryili , to me!" M'tan yells, motioning for his squad to gather in a wedge formation before they take off." I'll see you on the other si-" before he can finish his statement, a stray missile streaks overhead their heads, causing everyone to duck as it collides into the spot where the young wounded vespid landed earlier, blowing the younglin, a medic, and three of Kryili squad to oblivion and setting the surrounding area ablaze.
