[Prosperan Son]

" The Captain says we will reach the site in twelve hours. They've decided to send us in the first wave." K'tec's fellow soldier M'tan informs him, filling him up to date on the recent orders dropped down from the higher cast down to him. Both are within the feasting hall built for the auxillary units. It is mostly Kroot and Vespid that fill the hall, intermingling, telling tales of past conflicts, of families, of their lives before becoming soldiers. It is one of the few comforts afforded in these times of war. There next field of battle is located on Brutea's first planet, their opponents Imperial.

"Good, I am eager to bring death to the enemies of the greater good" K'tec chitters, and rustles his wings in an angered manner "These humans are barbarous and think little for the effect they have on each other. Thank the ethereals for their wisdom in this martial move!"

[Prosperan Son]

"Indeed, with the Ethereal's approval, we can continue to expand our territories. The humans' illumination is at hand, they'll either accept it or...." M'tan patted the Neutron Blaster at his side." I'll never understand why they continuously choose to fight against that which can save them." M'tan shook his head in disappointment.

[Warmonger]

"I find solace in the fact that every human dissenter that we... remove, leaves room for another more liberal views towards our cause" K'tec chuckles as he watches some of the others preparing "I can see a few of the younger bloods are going to make a few mistakes with their weaponry if they aren't advised soon!"

K'tes lapses into a silence, before speaking again

"tell me more of this world that we are bound for, what purpose do the humans think that it has to stand in the way of the greater good? Do we yet know what strengths the humans are gathered in?"

M'tan waved away the youth comment, watching the younger members prepare." Let them enjoy dream, they are simply eager for glory. We were once the same."

Turning back towards K'tec he answers" From what we know of the human language, the Planet is called Brutea III, or Ryarus but the local populace. The data we took from Husar, tells us that it was they call a ..Forge World, and that they'll be gathered there in their thousands"

"Then it will be difficult to try and show them the error of their ways." K'tec says resignedly "If only they could truly see the enlightenment and peace of which we offer them?"

He flutters around the hall, giving the younger vespid hints at times about their weapons, and ensuring that everyone is ready, he returns

"This going to be a hard fight friend, you know it as well as I, they never let these "forge worlds" go easily."

" We'll most undoubtedly encounter their armored gene-enhanced brethren. There is news that we'll be part of the first wave. " He gave away what small information he knew." Luckily for us brother, there's going to be plenty of cover."

[Warmonger]

"That will be most welcome, I have fought these gene warriors before and I know a great deal of their honour." K'tec replies "If they didn't have their minds washed everyday, I feel they could be turned to the greater good with good results."

K'tec moves to secure all his gear, making sure that he is stocked well enough for the coming battle

"I don't think I could agree to that. The humans are barbaric, it's in their nature.The gene-breds are but a minority of the human race, we cannot misjudge the entirety of the human race based on the act of their most devastating warriors." The warrior replied, fluttering his wings for a few moment to relax himself before raising his left wing to show a scar dug into the carapace. " If anything, the Gene-Breds are but a prime example of humanity's savagery."

"I feel for you brother, as these humans indeed have animal instincts at best" K'tec flutters towards the doors, preparing to be ordered into a dropship and into battle

M'tan followed behind him, several young members from the new recruits following behind the two veterans." I sense this will be a costly battle for both sides brother. We're the first wave along with the Kroot, with the Fire Warriors and Gue'vesa coming in the second wave. Things are going to get bloody so stick close."

[Warmonger]

K'tec sighs and decides that he must speak to the younger vespid
"Brothers, I am filled with pride to be here with you, and to be spreading the greater good at this time. But know this, a great many of you may not return from this coming fight, and those that do will forever be changed," he pauses, overcome with emotion at the memories of his own veteran speaking the same to him "Remember that for every one of the humans to fall this day will be a step closer to assuming them into the mantle of the greater good, so that one day, there may be good across the stars."

He smiles grimly and then puts his helmet on, which serves as a translator and a comms device. He waits for orders.

The Younglings shared glances amongst one another at the veterans words. They stared at him in admiration, M'tan nodding his head in approval.

" Prepare for Drop in 2 minutes, brothers. Good Hunting." A voice spoke through comlink to all ships. The Tau Commander, Crimsondawn was not one for much words, his actions speaking louder.

K'tec checks through his equipment and his brothers for one final time, making sure that everything he needs is within reach and is easy to access. He ensures that his weapons are working correctly and then moves down towards the Orca dropships...

Thirty minutes later K'tec's Orca jettisoned downwards towards the forgeworld below, accompanied by a host of orcas that were protected by a guard of Barricudas and Tigersharks. There were at least twenty -two orcas in all, including three mantas. They plunged through the void descending through the atmosphere and were soon met by fierce anti-air fire, solid flak rounds and laser bolts filling the air.

K'tec winced as the warning lights filled the Orca, and he knew that they were descending into some heavy counter fire.
"Brothers," he called to the less experienced members "remember the ways of the ethereals in this conflict and by the greater good you shall prevail! Let the humans break themselves upon the fierceness of our assault!"
then with a cry he readied his armor and weapons one last time and moved towards the doors, waiting to descend into the conflict.

Thirty Minutes Later....

The Orca sliced through the air alongside it's sister ships, the cargo door opening. A gale of wind immediately filled occupant space, the wind howling. M'tan was the first to stand, walking slowly towards the door." Onwards brothers!" He yelled raising his gun, his wings unfolding." Believe in the Ethereal's wisdom and let fate guide you. We are destined to achieve victory!" He spurred before dropping down from the bay door, speeding down to the urban sprawl below.

K'tec uttered a chittering warcry, and followed his brother's lead; unfurling his wings and forcing himself into the gale and battle below. Looking around, he could see the scars of recent tau bombardment on imperial defences, and here and there, the flashes of resistance and the sounds of both friend and foe alike dying. Charging his weapon up he heads for the nearest battle.

Streaks of crimson lasfire and bolts of cobalt energy crisscrossed through the air and downwards from the sky, the pinging of solid slugs striking concrete and metal was a constant. The Vespid squad glided through the air, downwards towards a plaza where their kroot brothers fought a bloody battle in an bid to close with their enemy.

"Brothers, ensure that our kroot brothers have the supporting fire they need!" K'tec orders as he levels his gun and loses a volley of high powered shots
