Well if it is two years then it will depend on when it bought for me. Because I got it at Christmas but might have been bought earlier to beat Christmas sales. =P

Well tomorrow I have a 4 frees/SPS (Silent Period Study) in a row so I am off to get a screwdriver to shank people with/open up my Xbox to have a go at fixing the Laser first.

Better to have a go at it before leaving it to rust. Will have my brother there as well who has done it before but I don't think he is as experienced with this stuff as my oldest brother but my younger older brother can still help me attempt to fix it. =P

I will also use some videos on Youtube to help with open up an Xbox and cleaning stuff. I will also need some rubbing alcohol and cotton wool to clean the laser =)

Here is hoping the Xbox will be battle ready so I can continue killing shit on my Xbox as well the last couple of days have already given high boredom levels. If it wasn't for Dawn of War and Mount and Blade Warband I would have probably become a killer or something else that might have sparked some fun.....

Good luck man. If you cannot fix the laser you can buy a replacement disk tray off ebay

Ok so far I have made good progress. I have removed the Disk Tray which needless to say has FUCK loads of dust. I am removing it and going to check if it works after cleaning out the dust.

If that doesn't I now know how to take the Xbox apart and gives me something to remove my boredom for a while =P

Checking it will post result after I reassemble and try Halo 4 =) 
Think it was the dust. When I say there was dust I mean two years of build up so within a few seconds a massive clump was removed and then there was loads more through the Xbox which I have cleaned up a little.

Just tried Halo 4 disc but had problems with Disc Tray opening but wedged it open with a knife which worked so now Halo 4 is working and compared to the problem of not reading a disk is a much better improvement.

I will try a non-installed disc later but for now I need to catch up on my Halo 4! I should be level 40 at least! =P

I just want to say thanks to all that helped resolve this problem =D

Also a massive Slaaneshi hug and kiss to Cru for giving lots of support through this crisis I was having! If you want to kill me on Halo 4 you can at any time =D
