I have just begun an Empire army. It will be mainly a display army but I do look forward to trying it when I can find someone to play against lol. At the moment the army stands at:

1 Empire General(80% painted)
1 Empire Captain(80% painted)
10 Greatswords with command(60% painted)
10 Halberds with command(unpainted)
8 Knights with command(unpainted)
20 Flagellants with command(unpainted)

I'm going to watch some other people play in a couple of weeks. From the battle reports I've seen on you tube it looks kinda hard due to all the modifiers used in the combat phase. I'll get my ol lady to take some pics probably Thursday or Friday.

Bah, all the modifiers and what not are what makes it fun. They used to have lots of those in 40k too, but then decided to dumb it all down. Empire is a neat army to play though, getting back on topic. What points are you working with? 1000? Less? I realize games are more geared towards the smaller scale these days, but trying to get an idea of your target.

It's going to be fairly large when its done(It's my project for the year). I plan on having:

1 Empire General
3 Empire Captains
2 Wizards
2 Warrior Priest
30 Greatswords
30 Halberds
30 Handgunners
10 Archers
10 Pistoliers
16 Knights
40 Free Company
20 Flagellants
2 Cannons
1 Mortar
1 Hellblaster

I will be including detachments of swordsmen and handgunners also. I'm not sure of any army list as of yet that I want to play. For the most part I want to build a large army for my display shelf lol. I'm hoping that my friend gets some Vampire Counts because at the moment all I can play against is Dwarves and I hear they are a pain in the ass to deal with.

That's what I was looking for, can't have a self respecting Empire army without artillery. Why flagellants? I know they're not bad, but I've never been fond of them myself so I'm curious what drew you to them.

lol I was doing some priest for my IG army and a commission so I used the bodies for my conversions. I just happen to have a whole unit left over from the project.

Got a Free Company kit yesterday and I have to say I like all the extra stuff you get. I like that you can equip them any way you want and they all count the same stat wise. The Free Company may suck on the table top but the models look cool lol.

I wont do another army till this one is finished but I will be picking up a Krell model, it just looks awesome. I may do some graveguard along with him but I wont do much more than that.
