That's a better explanation of the ending cock-up than any of the official press releases. Either way, I haven't played the new DLCs yet (like Leviathan) due to funds, and I am eagerly looking forward to it.

Glad to see someone trying make them accountable in more than just nerd rage. I hated the original ending and while the EC helped it felt tacked on. Good thing multiplayer and the universe are still awesome.
