A long shot could be trying your own, taking stuff from the Guard codex, etc, though your mileage may vary in regards to who will play you.

It is always best to see if an existing codex works for what you want to field before looking for home brew rules. I did that for my Inquisition army and never had a problem with tournaments or pugs.
Damn few, and they're all dead!
